⭐ TEMP FOSTER NEEDED ⭐
GBR Ocean is a 1 yr old neutered male Labradoodle who needs a temporary foster home from the morning of Aug. 30 until the evening of Sept. 2 while his regular fosters are out of town.

Ocean gets along great with other dogs and dog savvy cats. He's a sweet boy, friendly and loves to play!

Help! Urgent Foster Needed! This little lady is GBR Timon, she is a 1 yr old spayed female Lab mix who recently was diagnosed with ringworm. Her current foster has two dogs and unfortunately, the vet says she needs a house where she's not around other animals while she goes through treatment for ringworm.

Maybe YOU could be the one to hang out with this little lady for the next 6 weeks?? Her medical treatment is really easy just pills once a day for a month and a special bath twice a week. Dear Golden Bond Supporters ...

One of our former, long-time foster and home visit volunteers has had an accident which has left her unable to care for her dogs for a while. Unfortunately she tripped over one of her Goldens, fell and broke her arm which required surgery. Ouch! Therefore, she needs someone to help her out by looking after her dogs for anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks.

While it would be nice to keep the dogs together since they are siblings, it is not necessary.

Here's what Cherie has told us about her dogs:
Golden Retrievers
Names: Milo and Lozano
~ 6.5 years old
Intact males
~ 70 lbs
Housetrained
They are healthy, happy and charming
Fine with other dogs
They live with cats and are good with them
The kennel where they're currently staying say they're well behaved.
Moderate energy level
Lozano loves to play ball
Do not walk very well on leash -- they pull
UTD on vaccines

⭐ Ready to Adopt! ⭐
My name is Ocean (GBR #4112) and I am about a year old—my birthday is 8/17/23. I am likely a labradoodle, although could be mixed with something else, and I am tall and skinny, only weighing in at 54 pounds at the moment. I could stand to put on a few pounds. I’m currently being treated for giardia, and once that clears up I think gaining weight will be easier. I love to eat treats and dog food!

My foster family jokes that my legs are miles long and they have seen me leap over very tall objects, although not to escape the yard or anything like that. I am very goofy and kind of clumsy, often tripping over my own feet. I am also sweet and I love to cuddle, but I have a lot of energy because I’m still a puppy.

My current foster home has a 4-year-old dog that doesn’t have the same energy level as me, and I think I would like a home with a dog that does have the same energy as me. I am very playful, but often use my mouth to play nip, which some dogs may not like. I also bark when I’m playing or when I am very excited.

My foster home also has a cat. I have gotten better with the cat, but I do want to chase her, and sometimes I bark at her when she hides from me. My foster mom thinks I probably should have a home without a cat, or else a home with a cat with a lot of patience and tolerance

I need a family with patience and time to teach me to walk on a leash and to play with me so I don’t get bored. I sleep in a crate at night with no problems, and I can be in a crate during the day, but I bark if I’m left alone. I really love to be around people and am looking forward to meeting my forever family!

⭐ FOSTER NEEDED ⭐
Dozer is a local owner release and he needs a foster home. Here's what we know about this cute boy:

🐾 Lab mix
🐾 7-8 y/o
🐾 95 lbs
🐾 Neutered
🐾 For most of Dozer's life, he has lived with a large family with young kids -- he's great with kids!
🐾 He's house trained
🐾 Takes treats gently
🐾 Enjoys being petted
🐾 Loves to play ball

He will need some continued help with his commands and manners, but nothing major.
He'll do best with a family without cats and either an older dog or a submissive female.
As usual, he'll need to go to a GBR-authorized vet shortly after being fostered for his wellness check-up.

Please let me know right away if you'd be willing to help sweet Dozer. We'd like to get him into foster care as soon as we can. We can find transport for him, if you do not live near his current family in Washington.

Happy August! Glitter (GBR Crystal) from China on January 16, 2021. She literally went from "Made in China" to a fine Crystal, to the most beautiful Glitter that never stops sparkling. Thanks, GBR! Inset picture: Doshka (Patsy) & Rosa (Bella) were our first two GBR goldens. We picked them up at 6:30 am at the hotel in Fife, WA. They had flown in the night before. We had chosen Doshka; however, when Rosa's foster cancelled at the last minute, we took her to foster... turns out they bonded quickly, so why not adopt them both!

⭐ FOSTER FOUND ⭐

‼️Mango Needs a Foster – URGENT SITUATION (please help if you can)‼️

Dear Golden Bond fosters and supporters,

We have an urgent situation involving a male, neutered Labrador retriever named Mango. Due to circumstances beyond his control, Mango has been left alone in an apartment in Tacoma for the past 22 days. We need to find a foster for him quickly to ensure his safety and well-being.

Mango is a 5-year-old male Labrador retriever. He is good with other dogs and possibly with cats as well. He is also good around kids and has shown excitement and friendliness during his dog evaluation. However, our current number of fosters is limited due to the summer months. We would be extremely grateful if you could foster Mango and assist us in getting him out of this urgent situation.

If you are not currently an approved foster, we can expedite the process so that you can help Mango. Please consider reaching out to family, friends, and neighbors who might be able to foster him. Every dog surrender is important and time-sensitive, but this situation with Mango requires immediate attention. He was left alone in an apartment that was broken into, and this is in a high-crime area of Tacoma.

We can arrange transport as needed.

Please let me know right away if you'd be willing to help poor Mango -- we have to get him out of the dangerous situation he's in. And thank you for considering him.

‼️FOSTER HOME NEEDED‼️ Sweet Mae is a 5-6 month old, unspayed female Golden Retriever mix weighing approximately 52 lbs. She has already shown she is a big-hearted companion. She's housebroken, crate trained, healthy, and loves to play, though she'll need guidance in manners and leash walking. Mae is smart and eager to learn, making her a delight to train and interact with.

Mae needs a foster home where she can continue to grow and learn. She's affectionate, friendly with both people and other dogs, and has been around cats a bit as well. Mae would thrive in an active household that can provide her with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. We need a foster committed to continuing her training and teaching her proper behaviors. She is a sweet and loving puppy with lots of potential!

Take a leisurely stroll on a paved path, extending up to 4 miles round trip. Feel free to complete the entire walk or just a portion of it. Paid parking is available, and the trail offers a mild to moderate challenge with a gentle incline in one direction.

Afterward, join us at the Quarterdeck Restaurant. You'll have the opportunity to meet Golden Bond Rescue volunteers and our ambassadogs. We've reserved an outdoor table for our group. Relax with a cup of coffee, a beer, or a glass of wine (drinks not included).

Happy June! 🌹 Sweet little Stella came over from China in September 2018 with a group known as the Beijing 30. A month and a half later, I adopted goofball Mario, who was a surrender from a young man who was moving to China and couldn't take him. Dear little Ashley was my foster dog who came over from China in May 2023 with the Freedom 15. She has since been adopted by my mom, so I'm blessed to get to see her often.

⭐ Ready to Adopt ⭐ Hello There, I’m Bella ( #4066) I'm a tall, athletic 15-month-old golden mix (perhaps doodle x doodle). I’m not too large, around 66 pounds. My foster mom says that it’s been nice living with a well-behaved, non-alpha Golden. I’m good with older kids (13 and older), but I probably should have no cats in the house. If there is one, I don’t think I could stop barking at it.

I really need a person or family committed to all aspects of my training, including house manners and following directions (i.e., sit, stay, and walking on a loose leash). I am a fun pup and an obedient companion when I remember to focus my attention on my person and not get distracted.

I love to hike and sniff around the scenery. When riding in a car, I do extremely well in a crate and prefer to accompany my friends rather than be left at home.

‼️Foster Home Needed‼️Marilyn and Gibbs are local owner releases who in order to come into the care of GBR need a foster home. Both are about 9 yrs old Golden Retrievers (spayed & neutered) who have spent their whole life together. They are both very sweet, affectionate and need a home together. Unknown with cats, although they came from rural Montana so I'm sure they were exposed to all the critters. Their previous owner was a male and Marilyn can get a bit jealous/aggressive if her male human is giving another dog attention (other than Gibbs), she doesn't seem to get jealous if it's a female human. Her and Gibbs get along great and have no issues. So a dog free home would be best and keeping them together would be even better.
Marilyn recently had a toe amputated due to an infection and is recovering from that and doing well.
