Most boarding facilities and kennels won't accept dogs or cats that require extra care but not at Pooch Patrol Resort. Your fur babies will have a pack of loving hoomans for support 24/7. We'll go on long walks, hikes, play tug-a-war, chase balls, catch frisbees, and snuggle together. Your pet will be in great hands because I love walking, caring for, and training animals as if they were my own. A

Say hi to Nelly, one of our newest rescue clients. We've been seeing her for day boarding while her pawmom is busy working.

Nelly had a rough past and most likely was both mentally and physically mistreated. She has vivid dreams and sleepwalks because of her trauma. We're happy to provide extra TLC for this girl who deserves it.

Power naps and playing with ChuckIt balls are her jam. She gives face licks and asks for belly rubs when she trusts you. What a sweet rescue pup.

Say hi to Nelly, one of our newest rescue clients. We've been seeing her for day boarding while her pawmom is busy working.

Three is the magic number. Aizu, Vinnie and Blue joined us over winter break. They get along wonderfully and enjoy each other's company.

Blue chases balls and frisbees and Aizu enjoys borrowing them. Vinnie loves going on walks with Blue. And likes to teach him how to protect our home.

Vinnie is a rescue who wandered into a high school and found a foster mom in Texas. His pawmom sometimes has long work days so we're here to support her care needs.

He's pretty anxious and skittish in general with people. We assume it's due to his rescue past so we give him plenty of space. Vinnie loves hanging out on chairs and looking out the window. He's also friendly with other larger and mellow clients.

Our Pooch Patrol pack member, Turner, has a special place in Vinnie's heart. They're always snuggling on the couch together and enjoys going on training walks. We got you Vinnie!

For National Cat Day, we present two of our favorite regular chonks, Wayne and Mister. They're both black senior rescue kitties and are super sweet with tons of personality.

Wayne loves his back pets, stick toys, and giving love bites. Mister enjoys head pets, string toys, and shredding my lap on drop-in visits. They're primarily outdoor explorers but come inside at night.

We've been caring for both of these super cuties for three years. There's a bond that you just can't beat with felines 😻 grateful to spend time with them!

Ringo is one happy puppy and has such a mellow personality. Australian Shepherds are known to be very anxious but not this boy.

He loves playing in water so we hit up Latourell Falls in the Gorge during the summer. Ringo absolutely loved it and being outdoors.

These two senior rescues love snuggling and soaking up the fall sun. Cali and Honey hung out with us last week while their pawmom was traveling.

When Honey's in the mood, belly rubs will happen. Otherwise, she's on duty protecting our home from people and other dogs.

Cali's got the most adorable ears and and uses them to communicate her needs, especially when it's mealtime 😄

Maizy joined us over the weekend earlier in the year for spring break.

Winston stayed with us while his pawparents hit up the Shakespeare fest over the weekend. A perfect way for him to meet our daily daycare client, Augie.

They instantly bonded and played like this for hours. Winston was so gentle and engaging with him. Augie loves to play so it worked perfectly.

Gratitude & personal update post:

Winnie is spending time with us through the week while his pawparents enjoy some Shakespearean poetry in Ashland. I can't wait for him to meet our daily daycare client, Augie. They are gonna party so hard!

I broke my ankle skateboarding () last week just having fun with my son so life has been interesting. I've been skating for 40 years. Got surgery yesterday and have some mobility with a knee scooter 🛴 which is really fun to ride. Been watching lots of funny movies like Samurai Cop, Demon Knight, Van Damme, etc. Laughter is great at masking pain. Listening to lots of too.

The client pups bring me so much joy through all of the constant pain. Augie laying on his back and being crazy cute, Ringo loving getting drenched, Cali & Honey snuggling close to me. My kitties Jasper and Luna hang out when our clients leave for the day. Animals are truly the best therapy in life.

This last week, I have had interactions with so many people in the healthcare industry that are loving, compassionate, and work their asses off. They were extremely busy when I arrived at emergency luckily got a bed the children's ward. I made sure I was respectful to everyone who interacted with me. Frontline works are dedicated to what they do and deserve kindness even if you are in excruciating pain.

Family, friends, pawparents and fellow petcare providers are providing constant support. All of this without judgement and telling me I'm "too old" to be skateboarding. There are people I follow that are in their 80s and still skating and surfing strong.

There are a lot of things to be grateful for in life 🧡 🧡🧡 so I'm sending this post back out as a big thanks to the universe.

Cute puppy alert! Augie is a 9-week Golden Retriever and soft like a bunny.

We'll be seeing a lot of him for doggy daycare while his pawparents are busy at work. They deserve and need a break.

He's a big chewer so there's lots of tug-a-war sessions and loves our veggie pig ear treats.

Augie is sometimes chatty but otherwise very mellow and independent for his age.

Brilliant Bailey kicked off the summer stayed with us for two weeks while her pawparents were traveling in Hawaii.

She loves going outdoor adventures so we hit up Mt. Tabor and Wind Mountain in the Gorge. Hiking is one of her favorite things and nothing beats the Columbia river for cooling off.

Early morning walks and grass rollies are also a big thing for this super sweet chocolate lab.

Otto's a new 16-week-old client that stayed with us during the spring for two weeks. He's got very high anxiety with people, cars, and noises. This boy needed a lot of extra TLC.

Everyday, we helped him learn our dog walking safety commands, taking it slow. The training helped so much and by end of the first week, he made tons of progress.

He loved hanging out with Blue, who loves chasing balls. Blue was like a big brother to Otto, showing him how to play, relax, and have fun. So proud of this courageous pup!

Need a place to cool off during these hot summer days? Latourell Falls is about 30 minutes east of Portland in the Gorge.

The lower falls trail can get narrow in places so only go if your pup is friendly with others. After crossing the footbridge, follow the asphalt path to the right. It leads to a small park with trees where you can have a picnic table lunch.

Birdie enjoyed chillin' in the grass and listening to the birds. Get out there and have some fun this week!

Connie was a super cute Chiweenie mix that we cared for earlier this year. She loves communicating with her paws. It's so cute!

She was found as a stray in Bakersfield, CA and has pretty high separation anxiety due to her past life. Sitting in laps and cuddles under blankets are her happy place.
