We will be open today, HOWEVER, we will be CURBSIDE until further notice. We are also operating with a smaller staff due to safety concerns.

This is what to expect for today:
-Please call to check in when you arrive for your scheduled appointment.
-Our doors will remain locked and owners will not be allowed in the building.
-Please keep your ringer on, we need you available for calls from our staff.
-We are all in this together and our team is still healing too. Remember to be kind to those who show up for their shifts today.

Thank you to all first responders both in Maine and surrounding states who are doing the best they can to keep us safe. Our hearts go out to the friends and families who have been impacted by this tragic incident. Please be safe out there.

We are heartbroken over the tragic events of last night and our thoughts are with all those affected. For the safety of our team and our clients, we have made the decision to close the clinic today.

Did you know July is Lost Pet Prevention Month?

Here are four pet safety tips to avoid lost pets:
1) Unsupervised pets are far more likely to wander than those being supervised. Keep an eye on your pet or keep them in a secure enclosure/indoors.
2) Keep your dogs leashed and cats indoors! This helps both prevent them getting lost and injured by other animals, vehicles, and more.
3) Ensure your pet is microchipped and wearing identification so you're easy to contact when they're found.
4) Avoid taking pets to events where they may be uncomfortable such as fireworks, parades, etc. where they are more apt to spook and bolt!

Keep your pets at home during these "dog days of summer" or make sure you keep your car running with the A/C on if you have to take them with you!

Murphy enjoyed his visit with our Technician Assistant Cam and the rest of the team after he snacked on a phone charger. Luckily for Murphy, x-rays showed he did a pretty good job of chewing his impromptu meal and all should be just fine in a couple of days.

"We were uncertain if we could be seen short notice and on a Saturday, but we were able to make an appointment online and get right in to see Dr. Armstrong. The wait wasn’t bad, staff was friendly and Veterinarian was thorough. Willow has a diagnosis and a treatment plan, she is on her way to healing and feeling fully comfortable. Overall cost was affordable, very much worth the trip to Portland. Thank you from all of Willow’s family!"

You have to be prepared for anything in urgent care...

Despite having been in emergency medicine since graduating from veterinary school, this case caught even Dr. Koenig by surprise. Lacey was presented last week when her owner noticed what appeared to be a piece of grass in her nostril. Lo and behold... that is exactly what was bothering her. It was simply a surprise that it was a 4" long blade of grass. Lucky for Lacey in less than 5 minutes after walking through our doors, her ailment was remedied!
