Can't believe another week has come and gone already! These beautiful babies are now 2 weeks old! Starting to see some eyes on some of them, and they are getting close to walking. I love this stage! Enjoy the pictures!

This beautiful litter from Oreo x Patriot is almost 1 week old already! All doing wonderful! I've started working through the waitlist, so if you're on it and haven't heard from me yet stay tuned. I *may* have some puppies available after I go through the waitlist but won't know for sure for another week or so. So, stay tuned if you aren't on my waitlist as well.

❤️ Gracie’s Necropsy Report ❤️
So thankful to finally have some answers for our sweet Gracie girl’s illness and passing. I was finally able to talk to the vet and hear the findings of the necropsy report.
The simple diagnosis is Encephalitis (inflammation of the brain). There are two causes for this however that we aren’t entirely certain which it was in her case: either bacterial or immune-mediated.
Some tissues pointed to the diagnosis being bacterial encephalitis. However they didn’t save fresh tissue to test that after they diagnosed her with encephalitis. In this case the vet said it’s just something that can happen, and isn’t communicable.
The other cause is an immune system malfunction which is also possible and my main suspicion. I talked with the vet about the fact that after she had been sick with the nightshade poisoning, she recovered and was well for a few days. Then I gave her the last 12 week puppy vaccine, and she slowly declined again from there, showing all the symptoms of an immune-mediated disease (SARDS) that can be caused by toxins/vaccines. The vet said all of her symptoms lined up with that, and the vaccine most likely caused it after her system was already weakened from the toxins. The last symptoms in the few days before we put her down of paralysis, neck/back/body pain, and blindness were symptomatic of the major brain inflammation and brain lesions developing. 😞
We also discussed the possibility of it being genetic, and the vet did not think that was the cause. I didn’t suspect it was either, especially considering that I’ve had over 100 pups from Piper/Smokey’s lines that have never had this issue.
So all that to say, I’m relieved to have some answers finally. I’ve never had a reaction to a vaccine like that before, but I think the fact that it was given soon after she recovered from the nightshade scare, her little body reacted badly to it. I also learned recently that plum skin is toxic to dogs as well and we have a plum tree that was dropping fruit in the back yard right around that month she was sick as well. Being a puppy she would nibble on/eat anything. Just too many toxins for her little 7 pound body to handle.
I still miss my sweet little girl, and I’m so sad that this probably could have been avoided if I had been more aggressive at examining the plants in my yard, and waiting to give her that vaccine for a few weeks. But you live and learn as a breeder, and move on with the knowledge you pick up as you go.

💥ATTENTION 💥
All dog owners!
There is an unknown pneumonia causing disease becoming a problem in the west and east coast and other states. Please keep your fur babies home. We will be taking great precautions here to ensure all the babies being born soon and adults are safe. Due to the uncertainty of the illness we won't be allowing visitors until pick up day for our upcoming litter, and precautions will be taken to ensure no germs are brought to our babies.
If you have a fur baby of ours or other dogs at your home please watch for any symptoms and call a vet immediately. I’ve heard they decline fast once you see symptoms.
We will be praying for a cure and praying for all the dogs that unfortunately caught the illness.

Just 10 more days till we have full siblings to this girl on the ground! Can’t wait! Oreo is getting wider by the day. And getting lots of TLC. ❤️ Whelping pen is set up and ready and she’s making it her home!

Sweet Gracie girl is almost 3 1/2 months now. Got some fresh pictures of her, since she put the weight back on after her scary nightshade poisoning accident. So thankful she recovered and is doing so well now! Love her calm personality, and wherever I take her a crowd gathers to compliment and pet the little marshmallow. 😂😂

Molly girl is in her second heat. 🥳 We will breed her on her next one in March 2024. Looking so forward to some beautiful mini Molly’s. Still looking for the perfect stud for her. Hoping to find a fluffy Merle, or fluffy bluie since she is a fluff carrier. ❤️😍 I’ve never had fluffies before so this will be fun!

Sweet Gracie is 12 weeks old and as cute as a button. I love her fluffy compact little self. 💜 She has such a calm and quiet personality, and loves cuddles. Looking forward to watching her grow up!

Evie is 4 months old and already 14 lbs. Such a big girl, and full of SO much personality! 😂 I really love how she is growing, and she is very smart. She has a big desire to please, and learns quickly! Love her! 💜

Doing some leash training today ❤️ the girls have such different personalities. 🤣❤️ Evie is everywhere at the same time with turbo energy and has to sniff or chew every leaf or object possible. Gracie just slowly saunters behind us and chooses to sit down as often as possible. 🤣❤️ I thought their personalities would be swapped because of their genes/parents temperaments. So funny how different they are than I expected. ❤️ Love these girls!

Smokey was placed in a gaurdian home recently and couldn’t be more spoiled!! Although we miss having him around, we’re so happy he has such wonderful one-on-one attention, walks and cuddles! He is so spoiled with his wonderful family! And they only live 2 minutes from us so we can see him often :-) ❤️

Piper and Smokey's litter are now 5 weeks old! I call them the fluffy marshmallows. 😂💜 We're starting the weaning process and transitioning to solid puppy food. They're really starting to come out of their little shells and show some personality. Panda and Wally seem to be the most laid back. The 4 merle girls are pretty feisty and opinionated. 😂 I'm sure more little personality traits will show up in the coming weeks. Love this litter so much!
I finally made up my mind that Gracie will be staying here with us at Elk Ridge Corgis! All the others have families lined up.

Piper and Oreo are getting lots of extra vitamins and starting to catch up to their pre-nursing weight. ❤️Tootsie is my last baby here waiting for her Mommas travel up from CA. It’s fun having her around. She’s a sweetheart!
They enjoyed some time outside earlier and are doing so good. They’re all so friendly and cuddly. 💙 I’m enjoying having a few around till this weekend to help slowly transition to being an empty nester. 😂💙 Love these guys.

Hey everyone! 👋 This weekend is puppy pick up day and I’ve got lots to do to prepare for that. Plus a lot to catch up on on my other part time job.
