Hey Portland! 👋🏾 It’s been a while 🙂 I’ve cycled through a full daycare crew since I was last active and I’m so excited to meet some new friends to join us this season! I’ve been using this time to focus on myself and how I can better provide services while staying true to my mission of making pet care services more accessible for our community and I’ve decided to start offering sliding scale services to pet families with low income as well as returning clients. I’ve also updated my website so it’s easier to contact us and request a stay without the hassle of the booking app since it was causing confusion, but as always, please feel free to reach out via phone call or text at 503-862-9636!

I’m feeling a little better from surgery and trying to get caught up on work now that I’m off bed rest! I just swapped phones and unfortunately I lost a ton of data, so I’ll be focusing on recovering that right now since it’s time sensitive, but I’ve got pups here everyday as usual, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you need me! 🐶💗 New rates are listed and the revised paperwork has been updated 😌

I have been waiting for alllll week and it wasn’t until I saw her that I processed how beautiful she is 😍
(Also smart - she taught Lilly how to open the dog gate and I had to second guess locking the back door, haha!)

Well…. Today’s the day. Someone’s been interested in giving this guy a forever home and I’ve been dreading letting him go 😢 This lil stray fellow came into my life recently and I’ve been spending my days acclimating him to indoor life with other cats and dogs 🐈‍⬛ I reached out to so we can get him fixed up and vaccinated and hopefully in a better situation than this super busy area. He’s been loving it here with the kitties, but it’s time for him to check out what his forever home’s about and I’ll be back to check on him next month! I’m thinking he’ll like the quieter environment with less dogs more. I’m really going to miss his chattering and soft fur 🥺💘

This kitty wandered into my house last night and he seems like he may already have a home! Please help me help him in case somebody’s missing him!

Description: Male medium haired cat with 4 white paws, chest neck, and belly and all black the rest. Shy at first, but warmed up with treats. Walked right into my hse. Have noticed him in my neighborhood for a few months. No microchip. He will be surrendered next week if he is not claimed by his owners due to the fact that his paws are raw and scabbing, his skin is in poor condition, and he’s missing a lot of fur on his back legs and in random patches.

“May 2019, my husband was diagnosed with cancer. Ewing Sarcoma, a cancer that targets your bones. With a brave face he started radiation/chemo, 31 total rounds. He suffered from nausea, fatigue & hair loss but still managed to stay smiling through it all. After 8 long months (December 2019) he finished his last round of chemotherapy & we got the amazing news that he was CANCER FREE!

We had 8 amazing months together. Spent as much time as we could together, as a family.

Then in August of 2020 Juan's pain returned. After some scans and biopsy our worst nightmare was confirmed, his cancer had came back.
His amazing team of doctors and nurses at OHSU wanted to try something different this time around, surgery. Left hemipelvectomy.
He went into surgery on Oct. 8th & got discharged on the 10th.

We rushed Juan into the ER a couple days after that & they told us that his bladder had ruptured. They added a drain to help relieve the stress and a catheter as well & sent him home.
Juan was so strong through all this. He had to use a walker to get around. Had to sleep upright in a hospital bed. He took all his medicine and tried his best to stay positive & strong for his family.
October 28th, my 24th birthday, we went in for an appointment. The doctors told us that the surgery they thought would help did not do what they wanted. His cancer was aggressive & spreading.
They wanted to try chemo/radiation again BUT had to wait for his bladder to heal in order to start. They worried that the longer they put it off the worse his cancer would get/spread but it was out of their hands.
It seemed things started going downhill from here. The doctors became concerned with the output from his drains & catheter & scheduled an emergency appointment. He went in & they decided that they needed to add another two drains to help relieve the stress off his bladder. He went in on the 4th of November & had the procedure done.

The constant nausea & pain was unbearable at times but he persevered. He started losing feelings in his outer limbs and was rushed to the ER once again. They ran CT scans, x-rays, blood tests & did a spinal tap on him to try & figure out what was going on. While we were waiting on the test results from the spinal tap Juan started having trouble breathing, he was getting worse. They rushed him down to the Neuro ICU & put him on a ventilator to help him breathe. It was there that they found out that he had Guillan-Barre syndrome.

With the COVID pandemic happening we aren't able to stay with Juan in the hospital overnight. Visitation is from 8 AM - 10 PM, only one person is allowed a day, no swapping. We are asking for prayers and help.

He beat it once & we know he will beat it again.

We are also putting together a collection of videos of family & friends saying words of encouragement for Juan. If you'd like to send one in please contact us.“

We cannot get enough time in the garden! The grass is trimmed, the obstacle course for the dogs will be here soon, and my small planter garden is thriving so far 🥰 (ignore my brussel sprouts..... something ate her hahaha)
