Socialization is a crucial part of raising a puppy and means so much more than just meeting new people and dogs. It’s important to introduce your puppy to new people, places, dogs, objects, and sounds in a positive environment, and Club K-9’s puppy socials can help you do just that! 🐾🧡

Our puppy socials offer a positive environment where puppies can make new friends, be introduced to novel objects and sounds, and meet new people all while being guided by our knowledgeable staff who can answer your questions about puppyhood!

We still have some space in our Tricks, Games, & Teamwork class set to begin this month! Thursdays from 8:10PM-9:10PM. This class is designed to help you build teamwork with your dog and improve training skills. It includes fun games and the opportunity to be introduced to different types of agility equipment including weave poles, tunnels, jumps, and hoops! Call, text, or email to enroll. 🎓🐾

DID YOU KNOW that James Cromwell, the actor who played the farmer in "Babe the Trap Pig," decided to go vegan after filming the movie?
During the filming, he had the opportunity to get to know the intelligence and curious personalities of pigs up close, leading him to adopt a lifestyle free from animal cruelty. Today, Cromwell is an honorary member of the PETA Board of Directors and continues to fight for animal rights.
In his words: "All pigs deserve to live in a sanctuary, choosing when to have fun, where to forage and how to spend their time." "

Our Story

Family owned and operated, Club K-9 was born out of necessity. When Sharon, a dog trainer and behavioral consultant since 1987, met Jeremy, an animal lover and natural with dogs, they knew they were a perfect match – and later decided to foster dogs in their home, which they did for many years. But when they found themselves giving in to too many persuasive clients who asked them to board their dogs while they traveled or when they needed a little extra training, their own pets started getting frustrated. So in 2002, they decided to create a place that would offer dogs all of the safety and comfort of their own home, and in August of that year, they successfully completed that mission in Tigard, Oregon, at the border of Portland and Lake Oswego. Club K-9 Tigard was born. In 2008 Sharon and Jeremy then expanded their humane operation to North Portland, immediately next door to North Portland Veterinary Hospital. After many years of maintaining both facilities, Sharon and Jeremy sold the original Club K-9 Tigard in 2014 to Amber Hammond, the current owner and operator. To this day both facilities share many of the same policies, fundamentals, and an equal desire to treat all dogs in their care as if they were their own. Currently both locations are open 365 days a year and feature the highest-quality daycare, boarding, and training available!
