I really wish someone would give bug a chance! She hasn't even had ONE meet and greet and it just breaks my heart :(

She is such a loving dog and she's been waiting for too long for her forever! She is absolutely precious and sweet loves other dogs so much! I know she's a husky and people don't seem to want them much or they don't have a way to give them what they need but she's a great dog! 🐾**URGENT: SHELTER CAPACITY INFORMATION**🐾

Our shelter is currently past capacity for dogs and cats, and we are doing everything we can to accommodate the influx of animals. We’ve purchased more XXL pop-up kennels and are utilizing all available shelter spaces to ensure every pet has a safe place to stay.

Right now, we are in dire need of adopters for large breed dogs. These gentle giants are waiting for loving homes, and they need your help now more than ever. If you’re considering adding a furry friend to your family, please visit us and meet our wonderful dogs and cats. Even if you can’t adopt, sharing this post can help us find homes for these deserving pets.

Additionally, please know that our doors are always open for sick or injured animals. We are committed to providing immediate care and shelter to those in urgent need.

If you find a lost dog here are some steps to help you help them find their way home and stay out of the shelter:

1. **Check for Identification:** Look for a collar with tags and have it scanned for a microchip. If the dog has ID, contact the owner immediately.
2. **No Identification? Ask Around:** Knock on doors in the area where you found the dog. Someone might recognize them and know where they belong.
3. **Post on Social Media:** Share a photo and description of the dog on local community groups or lost pet pages. This can help reach a larger audience quickly.
4. **Check the Lost and Found Website:** You can do this at www.animalsheltertc.com by going to the “Find a Missing Pet” tab where you can report the found animal and check local lost reports that have been filed to see if it has been reported as missing.
5. **Call the Shelter:** If you're considering bringing the animal to the shelter, please call ahead. This way, we can inform you whether we're able to accommodate the dog at that moment.
6. **Provide Temporary Shelter:** If you can safely contain the dog, provide temporary shelter in your home or a safe space (like a fenced yard) until the owner can be found.
7. **Don't Take More Than You Can Handle:** If you are unable to safely contain the dog should the shelter not be able to immediately take it in, it is advisable to not take the animal from its current location and make a call to animal control to report the situation.
Remember, your safety and the dog's well-being are top priorities. By following these steps, you can increase the chances of reuniting a lost dog with their family safely and effectively.

Kennewick wa

So this girl we named Capri because I refuse to call her dog..
Found of hwy out in lala land by local Fire dept and unwanted by 1 of the shelters was evaluated today by a trainer.

So we think approx 18 months, very puppy like behavior. She just doesn't know the ques and needs guidance. And of course husky paws. Overall she wants to play but needs to learn boundaries and manners. She needs to learn to dog and get corrected basically.

She worked with her some and had them all in same room together the resident dogs and Capri. Also trainer took her for a brief walk with a corrective collar to help her simmer down and boom big difference. She does have some fear to work through too! I mean what do you expect from a dog possibly dumped around 4th of July, near a gun range and hwy. And who knows what else.

I asked Trainer to come and do private lessons as often as possible at this moment to hopefully get her in a good place quickly or as best as we can at this point. This will 50.00 a whack folks.
Tuesday 7/16 is vet ck and vaccines so if boarding is what happens we have them done! That will be around 200 plus.
7/24 spay day.

So I can safely say we are quickly going to be at hundreds for a pup that is not even a h4h dog because I don't have a foster and to be honest the funds. And to top off FB is now censoring all rescues so I really cant take anymore. To small to be put in this position.

Again these folks at this point are going above and beyond and put in a very uncomfortable situation.
So I am trying to do right by all!

❤️ our hearts break for these pups. Huskies are being overbred and abandoned far to much and our state of WA sees so many with so little assistance for the rescues trying so hard.
We have a route and we have time to transport if not these guys, there are many amazing dogs ready to go to forever homes with Hope 4 Huskies.

Hope someone can open their home and foster! We’ve transported him before and just fell in love. 🥰

We need a safe place for this special boy to land. He is such a special soul and needs a foster with no other animals so he can decompress while we help him feel safe again.
