Our Story

Meet Fergie and Wyatt, the "woof" and the "wild" behind our brand. Fergie (right) woofs her way through the day, making sure her voice is heard and her opinions are accounted for. Wyatt (left) was a street dog the first year of his life, leading to some pretty wild tendencies. Not to worry, his cuteness makes up for the etiquette that he sometimes lacks.

I'm Shelby, their dog mom, treat dispenser, and the human who started Woof & Wild. After spending my entire childhood and early adulthood in California, I decided it was time for a change of scenery and moved to Portland, Oregon in 2011. It was only after I moved to Portland that I became interested in graphic design, and took it upon myself to learn the basics of Photoshop and Illustrator. After working at a creative VFX studio for 7 years, I took my passion for design and started my own endeavor that also included my love for dogs.

Woof & Wild quickly turned from a "pet project" (I had to!) into an all-encompassing, full-time hustle. With the help of my mom and her sewing skills, this woman-powered shop came to life and has been going strong ever since. As we continue to grow, our core values stay rooted in handcrafting quality goods, designing and sourcing materials in a sustainable manner, and giving back to dogs in need with every order placed.
