Obedience Camper, Woody learns to settle down when indoors. He's a busy little fellow who thought that his job is to whine for a attention and run to the windows and bark at everything that goes by! After a few days at camp, he is learning to just RELAX.

Loki is a five-year-old German Shepherd/Pomeranian/everything else mix. He's about 40 lbs, very fluffy, and incredibly sweet and loving. He loves to cuddle and spends a lot of his day napping at my feet while I work. He is also high energy and high anxiety. He does well in familiar, calm environments, when he gets a lot of exercise, and when he has consistent training. But he gets very amped up by new places and new people, and does not like to be left home alone for long.

He is friendly with other dogs off leash, but on-leash he is reactive, although this has gotten better with training! If we keep a little distance (i.e. cross the street when we see another dog) he can stay calm. Once he's been with another dog, he is fine on leash-- I can take him for walks with another dog he already knows.

With people, he is always friendly! He just gets very excited easily, and jumps/barks. He is okay around our toddler-- he sometimes tries to play gently, but it can quickly become too much for a tiny human. Loki does get jealous of the baby though, and he gets easily freaked out by sudden/unexpected movements and starts barking, so a home with no little kids would be best.

He has had lots of training and is very trainable-- he will do anything for some cheese. He knows basic obedience, is trained in loose-leash walking, and used to be under voice command when off leash, but that would need to be reinforced before I would trust it again.

We love him SO much, but we just can't give him what he needs. We want him to have a home where he gets love, attention and training so he can be his best-behaved self and be able to go places and do things and have a good life. With us, he just doesn't get the consistent exercise or training he needs, so his anxiety is high all the time and it isn't good for him or for our toddler.

Fuzzy is looking for his forever home. Interested in a calm, friendly and loving new addition to your home? A family member has been fostering this cutie for a few months but cannot bring him with her when she moves for a new job to NYC. She is devastated at the thought of him going back into the shelter system.

Fuzzy, and even though his profile says 7 y/o - he is definitely a young-ish dog...probably more like 3-5 y/o. He is a velcro pup, low-medium energy- fully just wants to be hanging out with his humans and following you around the house or sitting next to you on couch (or on top of you as you can see from the final picture! Haha). Does love his walks. He is housebroken, crate trained, knows basic commands, very trainable, LOVES people - has been very sweet in his limited kid interactions and played well and been gentle, and generally seems to be interested and good about other dogs (but only really interacted when both on leash). We think he could be a wonderful family or first dog for someone - esp as willing to do some leash training with him.

Fuzzy was a shell of a dog when we picked him up from shelter months ago but the second he was out - started to open up and show how thoroughly good he is - I am heartbroken at even considering bringing him back to shelter and doing everything I can think of to avoid that.

2 Year old dog looking for new home.
PLEASE spread with word!
SPECIAL NEEDS- 2 Year old, Winston (Flat coat Retriever) desperately needs to find a new home. Winston's current owner must re-home him. She is heartbroken. Winston is a VERY fearful dog that had little to no imprinting before he was adopted at 1 Yr.
Winston is fearful of humans and new situations but is NOT aggressive. He loves to run free and play with other dogs. He can be reactive around people when on the leash but is generally neutral to strangers when off leash. He has had obedience training and has been to a canine behaviorist. Winston is a beautiful dog that will bond to his person. He is currently on medication to help him with his fear.
We are looking for a home with someone who:
*Has experience in working with a very fearful dog.
* Must be training savvy and understands positive dog training and the psychological needs of dogs.
* Is a strong/kind leader
* Lives a very quiet/calm life
* A large fenced in yard a plus
* Will regularly exercise Winston on and off leash.
*Understands that Winston will need constant behavior modification training/training protocols followed.
* Another (confident) dog in the house a plus.
