Sit Stay Fit offers a variety of dog training services, all focused on keeping your pup exercised, attentive & happy. Our fitness classes were created with the idea of saving time & having more fun by incorporating your dog into your workout routine. As Certified Professional Dog Trainers & fitness enthusiasts, we created both outdoor and indoor fitness classes that combine cardio, strength & circ

uit training, and dog training that will keep you and your dog moving and engaged with each other. Not only will we swing by and get your dog some needed exercise, but we'll work on the training that's important to you at the same time! Board & Train is available if you're going out of town, or just feel like your dog could use a little extra focused training help. Any Board & Train stay provides daily time for training, behavior modification, socialization, exercise, and separation. All stays come with a detailed training plan and follow up training session. We are always offering new opportunities, from our training trips (to the beach, on hikes, etc.), our puppy play & learn sessions, drop in classes, you name it! It’s time! Our new series of group classes are live and open for enrollment 🥳 We are offering Basic Education (non-reactive dogs over 5 months of age), Puppy Preschool (puppies under 5 months of age at the start of class), Reactivity 101, and Canine Good Citizen (for dogs who already have the basics down and are ready for a higher level of obedience training).

We’ve made some updates to our Play and Learn program! More sessions, and specialty sessions for adults and young puppies! If you have a social dog in need of some playtime and training, check out this service. We cover all the basics, and personal requests, and we focus on appropriate socialization with an emphasis on impulse control around other dogs.

Feeling overwhelmed with back to school, the approaching holidays and the change in season? Then have your dog hang with us for some exercise and training brush up!

Our Play & Learn program has expanded to include more sessions for different age groups, including adults now. We are also offering pick up and drop off for clients within a couple miles of our facility for our day time offerings (Friday mornings and Tuesday afternoons).

Dogs on a bench, so cute!! But did you know it's more than just a fun photo?? ✨First, we use a cue for dogs to jump up to help them discriminate between when it's appropriate to jump on something and when it's not (like your couch, bed, etc). ✨This also helps build confidence and helps pups learn their body mechanics by getting up and balancing on different surfaces. ✨It helps proof their "stay" cue. ✨A whole new vantage point means even more distractions, so we're also working on their ability to focus and respond when they see something exciting. It's a #2for1 #tuesdaytraining! ✨✨ Let's work on roll over: - Position your dog into a down. - Place a treat in front of their nose and, while letting them nibble on it, raise it above and behind one of their shoulders. Keep it there as they follow your hand. - Mark as soon as they complete the roll and reward. - If your dog is consistently reverting to the standard down position, start rewarding for smaller approximations of their head going over their shoulder. - Experiment with rolling different ways. All dogs have a preference on which side they're more comfortable starting on. Let's work with multiple dogs: - Have a settle/wait/stay cue in place. - Position one dog in the settle position while you work with the other dog. - Make sure to intermittently reward the other dog so they are reinforced for waiting. You might need to increase the rate of reinforcement if they are still building impulse control or start to get antsy. - Keep the sessions short and sweet! Need more tips?
