✨️senior kitty looking for forever home✨️
This is Stella. She has been a resident at Meowhaus for over a year. Her family was in a tragic car accident, leaving one of her parents severely disabled. After months of them hoping to come pick her up, they ultimately decided they were unable to continue care for her, and were afraid euthanasia was the only option.
This kitty may be older, and has IBS likely putting her on a life long steroid medication, but she has so much life and love left to give. Euthanasia was not the answer.
Although Meowhaus is not a rehoming facility, myself, the owner, and all staff at Meowhaus agreed we would continue to house her, provide her food and medication until we can find her a suitable home. Her owners legally surrendered her to us a few months ago.
Her medication and weight has mostly stabilized, and now she just desperately needs a family to love and a warm bed to sleep on.
She is very sweet and gentle, has no mobility issues, and is a ragdoll mix making her very cuddly. She's unsure about other kitties, but we think with a slow introduction, she could do well with another cat in the home. She requires 3 meals a day of chicken-free wet food only, medication twice a day (pill crushed in food), and she uses potty pads frequently.
