Shylo update!
I cry regularly in gratitude for her new mom. Shylo found her forever home after 2 years of searching. I’ve known Shylo for 9 years… and her previous family surrendered… well, abandoned her. I’m working on healing my anger and hurt around their treatment of this very special girl. My heart is deeply comforted to have found an amazing mom to cherish her. She sent me this photo and said, “Like I say to my friends, ‘Who rescued who?’ Lovely to have her.” Oh so very grateful. Happy Thanksgiving, dear ones!

A dear client pup of 5 years (since he was a baby) passed away today. Very unexpected medical issue… I just spent joyful time with him on Tuesday. I’ve seen him weekly for 5 years, and had Thanksgiving dinner snacks with him and our holiday pack, because he would stay with me when his family traveled. He’s a part of the family, as are all of my dear clients. Feeling the epic ache and wrapping his family in love on this very hard day. It’s easy to forget that our time here is incredibly precious... 💗🙏🐾

Sweet Bandit has been my client and friend for... 9 years. He left the earth and it leaves me in tears after holding him and his dear family in my life for so many years. Love you, little one. Got this today, “Hi Micaela, hope life is treating you well. We stayed home this spring and summer to spend time with Bandit. He had a great summer! He left us on his next journey last Thursday. I want to thank you for all the help watching him over the years and all the love you gave him. As I’ve said, I couldn’t have enjoyed my vacations without you. It will be a while before we get another fur son but you will be the first person we call to watch them. Thanks again 🥰”

9 years of loving her. 2 years of fostering her when her “family” said they would kill her to go retire at a fancy resort. 10 family interviews over the last two years… and I finally met her forever mom. This is our last night together… I sob… but only because I will miss her friendship every single day. I’m so happy she has someone to see the light that she is for the rest of her days. 💫🥹😭🙏🫶

A beautiful and rainy day at @chamburnfarm visiting and assessing Ellie’s litter for their next chapter. Livestock Guardian Dogs or in-home puppy cuddle babies. These kiddos are pretty special. I always love my sessions out on the farm. Luke kitty is a great emotional support feline. 🥰🐾💗
