Attunement Center Urban Organic Permaculture Homestead for Regenerative Living + Eco Guesthaus. It really doesn't get any better than this! ride to the airport. walk!

Conveniently located on the light rail (15min ride to downtown and train station) and walking distance to Mississippi Arts District! Come share our Garden of Eden; we live in the North Portland Overlook neighborhood, walking distance to the up and coming Mississippi Arts District. We are 3 blocks from a Max stop, Portland's street car; a 15 min. ride into downtown (and the train station!) and 45 m

in. Alternatively, we are on a major bike route with about a 15-20 min. ride into downtown (and we can rent you a bike!!). As well, by car, we are a 10 min. drive to downtown and a 15 min. drive to the airport. Our home is an urban permaculture farm; all of the landscaping is edible and organic, we have 10 beautiful chickens and one honey bee colony (they hang out in the back corner of the garden and without mention you wouldn't even know they were there!) As well, our neighborhood is surrounded in beautiful gardens. The interior of the home is being remodeled into an eco modern paradise utilizing all sustainable and non-toxic materials. Don't worry, we are not currently working on any projects, there are just a few unfinished projects around the house! We are very environmentally conscious; we recycle everything and compost, our electricity is sourced 100% from wind power through our provider, as well, our gas heating comes from the Methane produced on dairy farms! Additionally as part of our house remodel we are updating the house to be as energy efficient as possible. We have two rooms available to rent, so if this one isn't available check on the other! Both bedrooms have very comfortable queen sized beds and can hold a single cot (that we can provide) for a third person. The bedrooms are private, but we share a bathroom. : ) There is ample shared space throughout the house and you will have access to wireless internet. Access to on-site laundry and continental (or gourmet!) breakfast can be provided upon request for a nominal fee. We are great cooks and buy mainly local, organic produce and pasture-fed meats. Depending on the season we may have fresh fruit and veggies from the garden available, as well as fresh eggs from our chickens! We also have a fully stocked kitchen available to you and New Seasons Market, Portland's local grocery store, is only two Max stops away or a 15 min. Enjoy a walk to the Mississippi Neighborhood where you'll find quaint coffee shops, fabulous boutiques, yoga studios, spa's, music venues and pubs. There are a number of amazing local restaurants nearby with your choice of Thai, Mexican, Italian, pizza and southern food to name a few, as well as a variety of gourmet food carts. And lets not forget another thing Portland is known for.... beer! Widmer Brewing is down the road as well as McMenamins (White Eagle) and lesser known Amnesia Brewing. You might also enjoy relaxing in our backyard garden! Our home is shared with our loving miniature schnauzer Bo. He loves guests and likes to greet them when they arrive! Damien and I are pleased to meet new people - we can sit and chat, or just smile and say hi as you come and go. As well, we are happy to give advice on great ways to explore the area.
