Follow us on Instagram: The Pixie Project is committed to changing the image of a “rescue” or shelter animal. While some animals come to the Pixie Project seeking medical or behavioral attention not accessible in a typical shelter, many Pixie Project “kids” are professionally trai

ned, family friendly pets whose circumstances have left them in need of a new home. With a fully stocked non-profit pet supply store and a knowledgeable and supportive staff trained in the art of “pet matchmaking” adopting a pet through the Pixie Project feels more like a personalized dating service than your mom’s blind date set up. The Pixie Project also serves a unique support function working tirelessly to connect pet owners with the resources they need to keep their pets with them.

Magical pug alert! We have an amazing duo, that have snorted and grunted their way into the hearts of all the staff here. They are a bonded pair who love to romp and play, seeing these two get the zoomies is an experience you don’t want to miss. They are a little chatty with the barking but that is only because they are so excited about everything, everyone, and purely existing. They do well with other pups, cats, and kids but we would still recommend no children under 5. 

These two social little butterflies are looking for a family that can keep them happy, healthy, and stimulated. As much as they love to play they also love to snooze and snore, which as you can imagine is quite the audible symphony.

As we wrap up 2024, we wanted to take a second to say a huge THANK YOU to YOU! We're doing everything we can to keep up with the need for rescue, adoption, and medical calls and we're so grateful for your support. So, very sincerely: Thank You. Thank You to our amazing adopters and fosters for opening your homes, to our volunteers who help care for our animals and provide thousands of hours of help with a thousand other projects, plus everyone who has picked up or dropped off supplies, transported animals, attended an event, shared our posts, spread the word, sent us updates on their Pixie dogs and cats, and helped in a million other ways! With your help, we've been able to expand our safety net programs to reach more pets and people with no other options--but we couldn't do it without you.

Get a load of this buttery smooth Biscuit!

Biscuit is a female, 7 and a half year old, short haired, torbie. She is a total sweetheart, with no reports of torbi-tude at all! She spends most of her days here lounging about and soaking up attention from our staff.

She hasn’t been brave enough to investigate the other cats, so we aren’t sure if she’d like to live with any other cat buddies. If you’d like to meet Ms. Biscuits, fill out our cat adoption application today! ❤️🐱

However, she is perfectly capable of handling any scenario on her own and would prefer to only have the human variety as her allies. (No kitties or dogs please) Besides already being in the perfect attire, Batgirl is ready for any new adventure and can’t wait to meet her new crew. The sequel you’ve been waiting for is finally here! Ernest Gets Adopted! Ernest is a 12 year old, male, long haired tuxedo. He’s a very mellow guy, content to lounge around and be pet & brushed. 🎵 Meowing in the moonlight! This cat here is out of sight, they don’t bark and they don’t bite. They keep things loose, they keep things light. Everybody’s meowing with Ms. Moonlight! 🎶

Moonlight is a 1 year old, female, short haired, tabby. She loves to explore the nooks of her foster house, watch birds through the windows, or nap on (or under) the couch. She loves to be pet and has the loudest purr. She is definitely an introvert and seeks her alone time when needed, but is so friendly and will make it known when she’s ready for attention again. 

Moonlight has lived with other feline friends before, but she hasn’t shown a lot of interest in other cats here. She could likely cohabitate successfully with another feline friend, but may take a little while to come around. If you’d like to meet Moonlight, fill out our cat adoption application today! ❤️🐱

You don’t wanna wait! For this cat to become yours, so get down here and adopt them today. Otherwise you’re gonna be looking as sad as James Van Der Beek, and nobody wants to see that. We don’t know too much about Dawson but we do know he is a great catch and quite the stud. We guess Dawson to be about 2 years old and is well versed in cat-napping, lounging, and just straight chilling. We’ve offered to let him free roam around the adoption center but he just wants to stay in bed and keep tabs from his cozy house. This lovely lady looks like a Lynx ready for a cold winter. Jay is a 4 year old female with a beautiful dilute tortoiseshell coat. She has a great purr motor that should be able to keep you and her warm throughtout the colder days ahead. We believe she would prefer to be the only feline in the home and are unsure how she fares with the canine variety.
