Todays Enrichment group and puppy social was all about learning how to read social cues from our friends and engage/disengage in activities. We focused on helping the pups learn how to pick up on our friends body language, and respect their space when they are ready for a break from play. Some dogs are pretty clear when they’re done and will just walk away (disengage) from the play, when their playmate doesn’t quite know how to do that yet they might not pick up on that cue and continue to try to engage with them. That’s where we step in! We help redirect their focus on doing something else while advocating for the other dogs space. That way play stays fair and fun for everyone involved! 🙌🌟
