Meet Peanut! Peanut’s dad, Phill, passed away in November 2023, and she was deeply bonded to him. She adored him and grieved his loss so much that she lost 3 lbs, which left her mom, Regina, extremely concerned. 💔

Before Phill’s passing, Peanut spent her days helping him mow the lawn and running errands with him in the truck. When she wasn’t helping him, she loved curling up with him to read or napping peacefully by Regina’s side. At bedtime, Peanut enjoys snuggling under the blankets between Regina’s legs.

After Phill’s passing, Regina wanted to keep Peanut, but due to her own health and age, she felt it would be best for Peanut to find a new home. Regina describes Peanut as a very sweet dog who loves most people but especially enjoys the company of older individuals. She is gentle with children and never rough. Peanut is excellent with housebreaking, and even during her short time at the shelter, she has done wonderfully. She loves “Greenies” dental chews and typically gets one or two in the evenings. Peanut’s parents often used repeated words that she loved, like “treat-treat” or “bed-bed,” and she responds well to these familiar phrases.

It’s clear to me that Peanut was very loved and truly an integral member of her family, and we would love to see little Peanut get a good home-home with lots of LOVE-LOVE! 💗

***Peanut was adopted from us in 2019 and is now 7 years old. She is spayed and will be updated on all vetting. To adopt Peanut, please come meet her anytime Monday - Saturday, 10-4. She deserves to find a new family that will love her just as much as her previous family 💕♥️

❗️What we know about Remi:
- He is timid at first, but SO sweet (he will need time to adjust but he is so worth it)
- He is dog friendly and especially does well with female dogs
- He is already neutered and will be updated on all vetting when adopted
- He has gone through training and knows how to walk on a leash and certain commands
- He can be cat tested if needed
- A home without small kiddos would be best as he may be nervous around them

If he is adopted to someone locally, his trainer has even offered to do a couple sessions to help his new owner out!

Hi, my name is Re*****on, but I often just go by Remi. 🩵💙

Today I hit the 2 year mark of when I was initially surrendered here at Sierra’s Haven. 😭 I watch dogs come and go time and time again but yet, I am still waiting to find the perfect family for me. 💔 I have even been adopted and fostered a couple times, but I always end up getting returned.

I really love being with other dogs and have even been to training. I really thrive with structure and seem to really enjoy my time learning new skills with my trainers

I am a scared and timid boy at first but as soon as I have the chance to get to know you, I become so attached and want to be by your side all the time. 🐾 ❤️

I am nervous around young children so a home without kids would be best for me. I would be open to meeting a feline sibling to see how I would do!

I am already neutered and will be updated on all vetting before going to a furever home! Will I ever find my furever place? 🏠 I just need time to adjust and learn how to live in an actual home!

I don’t know why no one ever picks me- isn’t two years long enough to wait? ⏰

Some special adoptions and moments from this past week… 🥹♥️🙌🏻🥰

• After being with us on and off since May of 2023, Lilo has officially found her forever home💗

• Mr. Biggs (orange cat) and Thunder (grey cat) have been adopted TOGETHER! They have been with us since 2015 and 2016 🥹

• Justice (one of the 9 dogs rescued from a horrible hoarding situation last April) went to foster in Cleveland with the amazing, Jennifer! Jennifer will help find the perfect forever home for her 💕

• Arabella (brown and white cat) was adopted this past weekend after being with us since 2023!! 🥰

• Nubbins, one of our kitties with a disability (partially missing his back limbs), was adopted this past weekend by a wonderful lady! 🧡

• David Meowi (he has CH and has been so overlooked) was adopted yesterday by the family that adopted Mr. Biggs and Thunder ♥️☺️

We are so thankful to EVERYONE that adopts from us, but it’s extra special to see our hard to place animals find the forever families they have been searching for all along 😭❤️

He has been with us since NOVEMBER! 😢

He is a sweet boy and does well with other dogs. He will be updated on all vetting when adopted! He is a small dog (around 20 lbs or so) and is 5.5 yrs old. His kennel mate was recently adopted so now it’s his turn to find his forever family!!! ♥️
