We received word from one of our vets that there’s been several cases of an upper respiratory infection in the area so make sure if your fur babies show signs of breathing difficulties make sure they are getting plenty of fluids and if it persists get them to your vet for a checkup. We want everyone to be happy and healthy.

Great tips!!

As we ring in the New Year, it's important to remember that fireworks can be very stressful for our pets. The loud noises, flashing lights, and sudden booms can cause anxiety, fear, and even lead to pets running away in panic.

🧑‍⚕️ **Tips to Keep Your Pets Safe:**
1. **Keep them indoors**: Ensure your pets are safely inside, away from the noise.
2. **Create a calm space**: Set up a quiet, comfortable area where they can retreat to if they get scared.
3. **Distract them**: Play calming music or use anxiety-relieving products like pheromone sprays to help soothe their nerves.
4.**Microchips**: ensure their microchip information is updated so if they are found they can be reunited!

Let’s make sure our pets are safe and secure as we celebrate the New Year! 🎉

We had an awesome Christmas here at CK9. All the sweet pups and the staff had a blast. If you haven’t reserved your furry baby new year’s room for New Year’s Eve please do so today as we are filling up fast. There will be lots of people celebrating the coming of the new year and this usually means fireworks left over from a previous holiday or shooting off guns. Any of these will scare our babies so bring them to us so they can celebrate with their friends in a quiet safe environment.

The pups are tired from all of their play, excitements in the air, it must be Christmas Day.

We are having so much fun with all of our furry little elves during this holiday. We know it’s hard to be away from your Christmas tree goblins, so just know they are being loved on and having fun. Merry Christmas from our family to yours.

This is how I react to vegetables. Rob will actually make different sauces to go over them so I’ll eat them.

These are pictures from our Thanksgiving week. I’ll probably have to post a couple of rounds of pics because I have so many. This is batch #1. When all these little turkeys went about their day playing, they started smelling the goodies we were preparing in our kitchen. The ones of them all napping is from their food coma. Enjoy!!!!

Update: Kaiah is in a foster home with intent to adopt! We will update if anything changes. Thank you to everyone who inquired. Our kennels are full of very sweet dogs, please call or visit to see if we may have another dog who would be a great fit!

Kaiah was surrendered today. Kaiah will be turning 12 in January, and we would love to get her back into a home for the holidays. We are told by her family that she does great with other dogs, cats, and people but would prefer a home with older children. If you are interested in meeting sweet Kaiah we are open Tuesday- Sunday 12-4pm. Our adoption application for our adoptable pets can be found at www.adoptcurrituckanimals.com. You can reach us at 252-453-8682 with any questions.
