Laminitis is a painful and debilitating condition that affects the feet of horses, ponies, and donkeys. It occurs when the tissues that connect the hoof wall to the pedal bone in the hoof become inflamed and weaken. This can cause the pedal bone to sink, rotate, or even pe*****te the sole of the foot.
