Marcia grew up in a horsey family, started riding before she can remember and began professionally training horses when she was thirteen years old. Marcia has learned from some of the greatest horseman in the world and continually refines her knowledge and her skill set. She has combined all this knowledge, along with her own experience into her own unique program. Based on a philosophy of building a relationship with the horse and connecting with them on every level (physically, mentally, emotionally), MM Connections offers a start to finish program for horse and rider. The MMC program is founded on a solid set of principles and is applicable for any breed of horse and all riding disciplines.

Davalee has owned and trained many horses of different types and breeds and each horse has taught her something about horses and something about herself. Through the years Davalee has had great opportunities to participate in a variety of Western and English disciplines and has been able to learn from a variety of mentors.

Over the past 20+ years she has worked as a partner with Marcia Moore and she and Marcia own MM Connections where we offer clinics, instruction, training, and coaching. We are blessed with a community of horse-lovers, like you, who support, encourage, and connect with one another and their horses to transform relationships. 🤠ABBY CARBAUGH🤠
Abby started out working with trainers in the Natural Horsemanship world, which set her on a path for training horses in a kinder way. Later, she had the chance to study under an instructor who was well versed in Classical Dressage, which helped her to develop a higher level of precision in her riding and training. One of her most fulfilling opportunities was being invited to intern for two months under the creator and founder of Cowboy Dressage, Eitan Beth-Halachmy.

Abby loves the discipline’s commit to Soft Feel and kindness to the horse. She also rides, trains, and teaches: Groundwork/Liberty, Cowboy Dressage and Obstacles! She enjoys the variety and believes that all together these disciplines create for well-rounded horses and riders. Her passion as an instructor and trainer is helping clients to develop meaningful connection and true partnership with their horses.

We’ve got some brave folks joining us for our 3 day Versatility Clinic this weekend despite the heat!

Obstacles are fun way to put your skills to use! I often use obstacles with the kiddos to give them a focus in a lesson. One obstacle I will set up is a “scavenger hunt” collecting cones from different places around the arena. Teddy asked me if instead of just collecting the cones, he could try throwing them in the barrel. I love to see a little creativity come out!

Kayla learning to ground drive with Buddy! Ground driving can be a helpful skill to teach a young horse, a way to “ride them from the ground” before ever swinging your leg over the saddle. It’s a great sacking out exercise for them as well. It’s a good idea to learn how to ground drive with a horse who is already familiar and comfortable with it, before you attempt to teach your young horse! There is a lot of responsibility on the handler to manage the lines well!
