This may not look like the most remarkable video, but it is remarkable on every level, demonstrating just how much progress we’re making with little Jeffrey!!

Thanks to the most INCREDIBLE, compassionate team of positive reinforcement horse people: trainers, farriers, behaviorists, vets, volunteers—we have now done Jeffrey’s hooves twice this year! He’s still quite wary but he’s starting to get the memo that we are helping not hurting.

This is one of the many ways we use your support—to help meet the very individual needs of our beloved residents. 💜

We’ll be sure to let Jeffrey know how proud our followers are of his bravery!! 🐴🥰

With a mission that focuses so heavily on education, we can’t even begin to describe what a privilege it is to participate in the program. Every second Sunday when our LEAPers spend the day, the sanctuary buzzes with the most incredible energy of these future leaders!

Please enjoy these gorgeous scenes of our LEAP interns learning about health checks, hoof trims, and foot care on chickens and sheep by our talented friend Kathy Milani. It’s a window into our work to build a more compassionate world, one learning moment at a time! 📸💫

Never a dull moment in sanctuary life! Our sweet Debbie began a very quick molt…in 20 degree weather 🥺

After a comprehensive vet visit and blood work we determined that it was just that: a poorly-timed molt—nothing more insidious—and that she has plenty of downy feathers sprouting.

Blissfully the temps rose today and she continues to blossom!! She is such a special someone 💜

Hayyyyyy guess what?!? Mickey and Moose eat A LOT of hay 🌾‼️

Now that the grass is gone for the winter, we are cruising through bales of hay keeping these boys along with our horses, goats, and sheep well nourished.

$10 buys us a bale and today that impact is DOUBLED so we get 2!!
