Our little foster, Chip, had some adventures outside the other day—we rotated the potbelly gang for some enrichment so Chip got to explore the pasture and meet the boys. He and Marty had a blast!

Chip is heading to his adoptive home this weekend—we know many of you have been asking—but we’ll announce more on his placement soon as we also prepare for our newest rescue’s arrival from a research facility.

Miracles do happen! We are in the process of an incredible rescue of an animal who will be surrendered to us from a research facility rather than being sent to auction.

We have successfully raised the funds for her trailering and transport, and we hope to raise even more for all the care we’ll provide to give her a long, happy life in sanctuary. Stay tuned!

She’s truly a miracle. ✨💖✨

Gwen lead the efforts to rescue Chip and you can find her at the sanctuary doing everything from painting to puzzles with our big and little pigs—we are so grateful for her compassion and knowledge!

🚨🐂‼️ COW IN THE HOUSE…yes, you read that right! Please watch these with sound on 🔉

Friends, we have NO WORDS 🤣 In what we can only describe as the ULTIMATE MYSTERY, Moose somehow managed to get out of his pasture into the breezeway that leads to the basement of the farmhouse (aka our educational and gathering space). He then managed to OPEN the basement french door and then FROLIC around, and then let himself back OUT. WHAT?!?!?

While we wish we had caught the entire act, please enjoy watching the videos of the aftermath, including Victoria’s hilarious processing of the event and Moose’s earnestness just outside the door, imploring to come back inside and hang out on the couch. IT’S SO FUNNY!!!!

No cows and no houses were hurt in the making so we hope it makes your week better, as it did ours!!

Today marks the 2nd rescue anniversary of our precious little sheep family: Maggie and her baby boys, Machu and Picchu.

Maggie was paralyzed after giving birth, and was surrendered to us. Upon treatment at Penn Vet New Bolton Center Maggie was slowly able to walk again, and this resisilent family came home to our sanctuary to live out their lives together in freedom.

We are so grateful to all who helped in their rescue and to The Dodo who helped tell their story!!

We love you Maggie, Machu, and Picchu! ❤️

The animals love when our amazing animal caregiver Chase is working, because he makes everything more fun!! Moving hay to the run-in shed with two 1,500 lb puppies with horns who realllllllly want it isn’t a job for everyone, but Chase has mastered the art…or perhaps Mickey has his number! 🤣🤣

Machu and Picchu are 🎈2️⃣🎈

These darling boys have grown up here at the sanctuary with their mama, Maggie, and we are the luckiest to have such sweet, gentle, smart, adorable souls representing their kind to those who visit Rosie’s. So many guests remark on how dog-like they are, as they paw for pets and follow us around inquisitively, just to be close to us!

From playful romps with the goat gang to “sheep team meetings” with Maggie and Penny, these fluffy fellows are never far away from each other. We love them so very much!

We have a new resident at Rosie’s who is shiny, red, and able to lift allllllllll the compost!!!!! We also have a Sanctuary Manager who can’t stop smiling 😁
