Lincoln found himself at the BVSPCA in July 2021 after his owner’s health declined. When we adopted him, we didn’t know how long we’d be together, just that we were going to make the most of the time we were given. The last 3 years were truly golden with our sweet boy. We cherish all the adventures, cuddles, and too many treats to count. Adopting a senior dog isn’t for everyone, but for us, Lincoln was everything. Forever loved, our “Chief Beef”.

Duncan was the kindest, most gentle soul you will ever meet. He was most happy when lying in his yard watching the kids get on and off the bus and watching the traffic pass by. The holidays are an extremely difficult time to be navigating grief. 💔The absence of those no longer with us is amplified and the pain of their loss feels even louder in the face of 'holiday cheer'. With words from his family...
Tucker Rodriguez was one of the most amazing dogs we have ever had. From the day that Selena brought him home, he was the apple of everyone's eye. She needed him and she knew we all did too. He has brought so much happiness and joy into our home just from his smile to his playful nature. Everyone loved him so much, that they would stop over and say hello to him before anyone else. He was protective yet friendly and loving to everyone around him. He knew if you were having a bad day and would do whatever it took to brighten it up. He loved to wait for that morsel of food to fall off your spoon or off the table and all the kids loved to pass him little snacks, especially Tilleigha. She was his bestie and he was hers, she slept with him every night and they both loved it. Grammy and Poppy loved watching all his crazy little antics and they looked at him as if he was another kid in the house. Tucker loved to be apart of all of our family gatherings. He would walk around and greet everyone and try to figure out who was the easiest to get some scraps from. :) He was super photogenic, as you can see, and his smile was worth a thousand words. I hope that we gave him the best life, because he deserved it! No words can express how much this loss hurts but we know we will see him again.

Lucy was a perfect dog. Cat friendly to our 2 family cats. Unconditionally loved our 2 boys from the day they were born. Was a great first family dog. Loyal, patient, friendly, and loving.

Saying 'goodbye' is tough enough! Saying 'goodbye' at the holidays is awful! Saying 'goodbye' at home can help to make it a little less so. Dr. Freed understands that sometimes we cannot plan the day we need to let our friends go. Because of this she will be open for emergencies Thanksgiving day.

We adopted Jobin from the Montgomery County SPCA 14 years ago. We knew immediately that he was a different cat in his calm, patient, kind and warm personality. He did not require much more than a window to look out and a lap to lay on. He was our first fur-baby and openly welcomed the three dogs we've adopted over the years and well as all of the foster pups that have come through our home. We know there will never be another Jobin, and we are so grateful for the time and life we've had with him.
