Have you ever thought about what happens when families need to seek temporary housing because of a family crisis? Oftentimes, the family pet is not able to come to these facilities, and it often is a roadblock to those in need of help who refuse to leave their beloved pet behind.
In 2021, Schuylkill Women in Crisis, now known as Schuylkill Hope Center, recognized this concern and began to raise funds to further develop the Raymond & Maureen Dee Healing Garden. These gardens will include a pet shelter to house the pets nearby the family in need.
We are raising funds to support these efforts as well as the additional costs associated with the ongoing care of the pets such as vaccinations & food & grooming.
