Greetings everyone, I know that we are mostly focused around guinea pigs, however, we had taken in a kitten earlier this month. I have been referring to him as my foster kitten that I am helping to find a forever home for, if you may be interested in adopting him then do feel free to send us a message.
Originally this kitten had used to be a stray that was being fed by nice people. A family friend's neighbor had a stray cat give birth outside of her home on August 24 2021. There had been 7 kittens originally, but one had been stillborn, one had dissapeared, and 2 found a home during mid December. With the cold weather beginning to roll in, I had offered to take at least one kitten in to provide them with food, love, shelter, and warmth until they are to find a home.
The kitten's name is Midnight, he is a male whom is yet to be neutered. He is litter trained and is eating hard/dry cat food, currently I have been using the Purina brand. If you wish I can give you a sample box of his favorite food if you are to adopt him. He will also eat Friskies or Olive's brand wet cat food (I like to mix a little dry food with it though).
He is especially active at nighttime, seeming as if all that built up energy is let out during the hours of darkness haha. He's a friendly cat but will take a few days to get used to his new environment and new people. From my experience he hid alot the first 2 days when I brought him home from the outdoors, after that he slowly started warming up. If you show him patience and love, being gentle with him and giving him time he will certainly warm up to you and allow for you to pet him, pick him up/hold him, and he'll rub against you. He's such a little sweetheart once he realizes that you won't hurt him and that he's in a safe place.
Currently he is ok with other cats due to having siblings when he was living outdoors. I am also looking after another sweet cat here who Midnight loves, he'll even rub against him when he sees me petting the other cat like he's copying me haha. He's pretty ok with dogs as well, he may be scared of larger dogs though. As for small animals it's always recommended to keep a lid on their cage if possible and try to keep them away from cats, just as a safety procedure, Midnight has not attempted to harm a small animal though he is a cat which means hunting is in his blood thus I keep him away from the guinea pigs (unless he is to be in my room for a few minutes with me, of course I am there to fully supervise though).
He seems to be healthy, no sign of fleas, eye infections, diseases, mouth problems, etc. He's eating, drinking, and using the bathroom in normal ways.
I will be asking a small adoption fee of $40, this is to better ensure he will be going to a good home.
Do not hesitate to reach out with any questions! Have a lovely evening everyone.
