🌟Monday is for our NovaStar Rescue pup, Gigi aka Big Girl. We love giving y’all these weekly updates, so let’s get into it! 🐾We wanted to do a video this week to really show you guys how she’s been doing - photos just don’t don’t it justice sometimes. We’ll break down her week clip by clip. 🥰The first clip was taken over the weekend where Gigi was playing with a couple of other dogs & ran right up to our staff member. This may not seem like a big deal to some but this is HUGE for her. A week ago she would run in the opposite direction the second you looked at her. She has the most confidence in our daycare yards & around other dogs. Social facilitation with other pups has been key to getting her to open up & feel more comfortable. She’s still a little shy in a room one on one but is so much better. 🧗‍♀️In the second clip you’ll see her climbing on our playground equipment. This was such a big win for her…a pup is NOT going to climb up onto higher object if they don’t feel confident so this was wonderful to see. ❤️The next couple of clips are her hanging out with people & just being a dog! She’s really been letting her personality shine through this past week & she’s such a goofy girl. Her program was originally supposed to be 3 weeks long, but we’ve decided to donate another 3 weeks in order for us to really get where we’d like to be with her. 🌟As always, contact us if you’re interested in, or have questions about Gigi! 🎥Watch This! 🐾In this timelapsed clip, Silas is showing excellent behavior & obedience even with all of the distractions & scooters around him. He is able to focus on the task at hand & is demonstrating his understanding of the commands given to him. In this case, he is exercising his “Place” command with an Implied Stay! 🐕This command is useful for scenarios such as: -Putting him in “Place” when guests are entering the home & you don’t want them jumping on people or bolting out of the door -At dinner time if you don’t want them in your face begging for food -While cleaning when you may not want to kennel them -Many more scenarios!

Yesterday they took a field trip to Lowes to work on some socialization and focusing on commands while being around distractions that are new to them!
