As we close out of March and the team prepares for their next tournament in a few weeks, we thought we'd share a fun memory from March of 2 years ago! 🐾 A Ufli tournament in Littleton, Mass where the veteran dogs/handlers of Infurno (Jax/Nox) ran against the green dogs/handlers (Izzy/Badger, at their first tournament ever no less) in a pairs race and had a perfect tie!! 🤯
I don't think they could do that again if they tried! It's a very cool memory 🥰

Last weekend Infurno Flyball Team attended our first tournament of the year, Ruff Enuff's No Lucks Given flyball tournament! 🍀 We were treated to breakfast and lunch BOTH days, welcome bags filled with goodies (including bags for the preflight dogs), great raffles, and a super fun happy hour, which is always a hit (those jello shots Ruff Enuff's team member, Lester, made were amazing). 😆
We had some new faces with us, a handful of green dogs and their handlers who were able to gain alot of experience that weekend. 😊
Our pairs team of Skye and Hudson did great all weekend, with junior handler Emma helping run little Skye. Due to having to pull Badger last minute, we ended up with more green dogs than anticipated on the main team, but with the guidance of our fearless leader, Kathy Lally, they all rose to the occasion and did fantastic! They have a bright future. 🥰 Kaianne, Dude, Jax, Yzma and Pierogi, should all be very happy with how your dogs worked.
We were also very thankful that Aaron Robbins was offering lessons all weekend! Shiner, Deku, Baki and Yzma all left improved and knowing what to work on to continue growing.
It was a special surprise that junior handler Emma, running Dude, earned the Dream Team award! They are such a fun pair and she was so happy to have been given that award. 💕
We're looking forward to getting to play and seeing everyone in Greenfield in April!

This past weekend a few members of Infurno made the trip to Dover, NH for the flyball MAINEiacs spring fling tournament. We had a fantastic weekend! It was fun getting to sit at the crates and watch racing, and we enjoyed the vendors and raffles offered. The pups enjoyed the awards on Saturday (a whole box filled with bocces treats!) for placing first in our division, after winning all of our races!
Badger ran clean all weekend, and had some nice passes with an unfamiliar dog (consistently under 6ft, many 2-3ft), so I couldn't be happier with him 💕
And huge thank you to Rick and Erin for letting us borrow ol' reliable, Nox, at the last minute! He was a powerhouse as usual and ran start. Even with a different handler than normal he still clocked 3.9-4.0 secs all weekend and got literal "oohs and aahs" from spectators 💪
Plus the new puppy, Shiner, did amazing. The tournament was a great opportunity for socialization and exposing him to strange sights/sounds, and he couldn't care less. He slept in his crate while the team raced and loved meeting new people and playing. 😊
And a special shoutout to Lorraine Messier and Patriot flyball for landing us a couple of awesome dogs to round out our team! Nancy Blake and Lester Seal with their border collies Thor and Phantom, were great teammates! We had never met/ran together before this weekend, and the dogs ran as a team with no issues! We were consistent, clean and won most of our races, even taking first for the day in our division Saturday 🎉 we ran in the 18s all weekend, with a best time of 17.7 secs, not too shabby for a group of dogs that didnt know eachother 😁
It was a great weekend and we're looking forward to Greenfield in a few weeks!

It was a great weekend to play some flyball! Infurno went out to Gemini Dogs in Mass for two single day tournaments where the team squeaked out a first place finish in our division BOTH days. Not bad for our first tournament of the year! Hudson, Jax, Badger and Izzy all had fun and worked well together as a team.
Skye, Izzy's sister, made her NAFA debut and earned her first points! She ran clean in every heat she was put in. We're very excited to see her join the team in the lanes!
A couple of our green dogs, Koda the golden and Milo the corgi, had successful mat times and will hopefully also be making their debuts in the coming months! 🤞
The host clubs put on fantastic tournaments with great raffles/vendors, a cute photo setup, and green beer/wine for St. Patrick's Day 🍀🍻 and the team was treated to live Irish music with dinner at a local cidery following a fun day of racing.
We're looking forward to the next one! 🐾

This weekend begins her retirement from flyball, and will still be hiking and playing fetch. Thanks girl for all the wonderful years of playing flyball with me.
