Huh. These aren’t poultry or waterfowl, but they’ve been bred specifically to protect your animals and home. The parents are Ziva and Riker, our livestock and farm guardians. Ironically, we seem to have extra! There are 4 puppies too many. 🤪 These are going to be big strong dogs, not only in size, but temperament as well.

Arlo is the black collar, with 4 white feet. He needs to have a herd, flock or property to guard, with humans who are experienced with livestock guardian breeds. He’s a total sweetheart- but is going to have a serious personality as he matures. He is very independent, and is pretty much satisfied playing by himself. He does not always appreciate interaction with other dogs.

Lilo is yellow collar. Pretty much Arlo’s twin, but with a little softer personality. She would be fine with kids, but ideally older kids who understand how to respect a dog. She has a high pain tolerance, is forgiving, and is a bit of a wild child! She may do well in sports with a trainer who’s familiar with the temperament of these kinds of dogs.

Ariel is the big ol’ red collar girl. She pulled her Momma’s Boerboel looks hard! Ariel is going to be a SOLID dog! Massive bone on this puppy. She’d like an active life, but would be more suited to be mostly a pet, as opposed to Lilo and Arlo. She’ll still be an active guardian for sure- so don’t discount that.

Pumbaa. Ohhhhhhh sweet Pumbaa. He’s my (Kelly) favorite. Pink collar, and the only fluffy left. He is SUCH a doll, and wants to make people happy. By far the easiest personality of the puppies that are still here. He’s outgoing and social. Loves to tug and retrieve (when you consider the breeds aren’t exactly known for retrieving skills). He loves my 2 1/2yr old (Kelly’s). Pumbaa is amazingly tolerant of him as well. Kenneth has “claimed” Pumbaa as his own, and will enthusiastically (or angrily) tell you that is HIS Puppy, even though he has no words. It’s adorable. Pumbaa is the most flexible of the puppies, and could be happy most anywhere. He deserves a special place, cause I love him! He’s got working/sport potential with the right human.

Lavender Orpingtons!

I have what I suspect to be a breeding quad- 3 pullets and a cockrel. This is a GUESS though, based on experience. I’d like them to go together.

Bantam Cochins!
First is for sure a pullet. 2d and 4th are likey cockrels. 3, I’m not even going to guess. I don’t know.

Looks like we won’t have any Bantam Cochin eggs available for awhile.... 🥴 We only have 6 hens in this pen. 4 are broody, 1 has chicks. So maybe that last hen (black columbian) is still laying? Who knows.

Little peckerhead turkey!!!! Betcha that one is a Tom.... he may just be extra tasty, too. We have 11 turkeys that are ready to go. They’re mixed heritage- but represent a black Spanish, silver mottled, whites, Bronze and Narragansett in color.

I have no idea what this chick is. Not a clue. It’s likely a chick we hatched from one of the blue/green/Olive eggs... but the straight comb and clean legs makes that a little less likely. Either way, it’s up for grabs!

Several “I dunno/we forgot” chicks. Cute cuckoo thing, a black-ish frizzle, one that looks like a Phoenix.... and could be- but the dark beak is throwing us off. Black w/copper Olive egger cockerel. Most of them will likely have colored eggs/genetics. Straight run, unless otherwise noted.

We have a beautiful Pilgrim trio available of proven/mature birds- and a bonus female gosling they recently hatched!

The sooner they move the better- there is a good chance if they get settled into a new home shortly the geese will go broody again this summer.

It was brooder cleaning day yesterday! Not a whole lot of fun- but very satisfying to have finished. The whole thing was pressure washed and then sanitized.

Sometimes, you just need to drop what you’re doing, and cuddle the cry baby chicks against your giant pregnant belly. Unknown Splash chick on the left. Mosiac in the middle, and Bantam Cochin on the right. These 3 wouldn’t stop yelling until they got snuggles. They had food, water, friends, and heat. Just needed a little extra love!

We have an adult trio of bantams available.

The rooster is coming up on a year old, raised by kids. Super sweet. Bantam Cochin x ..... likely bantam Easter egger. The second hen is a bantam Brahma. 3d hen looks silly with her full crop, and wet chest (she stuck it in the full water bowl 🙄), but she’s a bantam Cochin cross. With what- we don’t know. But she’s small!
