Byrd's Bunnies is a small, family owned rabbitry focusing on quality Rex rabbits. We only sell the best of our stock, and are working hard to breed to the Standard of Perfection used by the American Rabbit Breeders Association. (ARBA) While we breed rabbits for show and meat purposes- they are also our pets. Everyone is loved individually, every day. Byrd's Bunnies is small, and will stay small, s

o we can continue appreciating each and every rabbit in our barn! The main face of Byrd's Bunnies is me, Kelly. I'm assisted by my son Logan, and daughter Kylie. They both own rabbits, are ARBA members, and show when they can! They're an active part of the barn, helping with daily chores, and giving out LOTS of love and snuggles.

I guess it’s time to make it official.

Byrd’s Bunnies is no longer breeding Rex, and only breeding Dutch on a very small scale.

Breaks my heart- but it’s been over 2 years since we’ve been to a show. I have 2 little kids (4 & 2) who need me, on top of the teens, and our small farm. Auto immune issues continue to plague me, and I just don’t have the time or energy to maintain a functional breeding program anymore. I’m so thankful for all the friendships we’ve made, and all I’ve learned, then been able to share.

I will keep this page open as I’m not finished in rabbits, and I still have the contacts to help people find good quality stock. (and when I’m ready to get back in, I’ll be using those contacts!)

Time for a little break. Love you all! We’ll be off enjoying our other critters, but still around.

This is Hulk, one of our fabulous old boys. He was struggling with some arthritis issues outside this year when the temperatures dropped, so he’s moved inside to live out his life. Spoiled old fart.

May as well announce it. We are officially Mini Rex breeders! Our first litter was kindled on Halloween. :)

There has been a good deal of interest in rabbit tattoo boxes lately. These are made by Barksalot Farm & Kinders, in Poulsbo WA. They are $75, plus $35 shipping anywhere in the US.

For me, they’re ESSENTIAL when I tattoo. The rabbits relax, and I can keep a very steady hand with them in a box. They don’t fight, it’s dark and secure so they just relax. Ive used my box on everything from a junior Holland, to a senior Flemish Giant. Love them. Send a message to Paul at Barksalot if you’re interested in one.
