Something awful happened at rally this fall. Abi and I share these boots (she kinda stole them but they are mine) and the HMO judge told her that her boots weren't as shinny as some of the other kids boots ( ill keep my opinion to myself since I polished them) but there was some boot polish in the rally kit so no harm just polish them up again before tomorrow and add some spit shine right?!

Well unfortunately this must have been dollar store polish cause it looked like we dumped candle wax on them and walked away.

In my 30+ years of boot polishing I've never seen such a thing and kinda freaked out that my boots might never be the same. After a lot of research I got brave enough to strip them with acetone and a blow dryer. Definitely felt criminal! But here is the stripped product. Now to polish them back up.

I hope this never happens to you but if it does don't worry you can recover them.

Congratulations Summer, Sunday, Audrina & Hope on your C1 HM and C1 EV phase 1. As well as Miles who completed his C2 HM today. These candidates range in age from 11-14 and I’m so proud of them. They studied hard and presented their knowledge well today. Audrina flew in from Virginia even and got to ride her Maggie. Such a great weekend. Thanks Kara Hagerman for spending your day at GCS!

I wasn’t really sure if we’d be able to pull off the riding in the open part of Hope’s certification today but we got a break in the weather and the other property wasn’t to slick. Although it had plenty of natural water, ditches and terrain to navigate. Congratulations Hope on your D2-D3 eventing certifications.

With show season (and the good weather) finally coming to end it’s time to bring our focus back around to all things pony club. First thing on the calendar is 2 C ratings where 11 kids will rate over 2 days on their HM & phase 1. Lots of teaching and learning among these girls ❤️

Well I didn't get many pictures past the costume class but it was a long full day at the saddle club today. We took 16 horses from our barn and 21 riders. Was so much fun playing games and having fun with the kids. These fun show days are always some of my favorite. Couldn't have done it without our amazing barn family! 🎃

The course is all set for the Halloween show tomorrow at the Bainbridge Island saddle club!

I am so dang proud of GSC. These girls and gent have worked so hard and learned so much in the process to get here. All their hard work really paid off with a win in both the Jr and Sr divisions this year and a return of the trophy to GCS for the 2nd year running. They also were the leaders of 3 equitation divisions and the leaders in all the speed events. These riders enspire me with their enthusiasm and their love for pony club and their ponies.

A special shout out to Kimberly Roberts who jumped in to help me coach these 20 competitors. You rock Kimmy! As well as all of northwest pony club volunteers that put fourth an amazing regional rally this year that ran so smoothly and provided a great atmosphere for these Pony Clubbers young and old.

And of course to Linda Chatfield who I credit for my love of Pony Club & inspiration for the program here at GCS. ❤️

I'm all ready looking forward to 2025! more pictures to come

So proud of these girls. They went to TET rally having never gone before, with a coach that had also never gone and they brought home a win and 2 high points. Most importantly though they had fun the entire day and kept laughing and pranking their coach every step of the day. Go Team Creek!
