Sometimes puppies will hold one ear down…and sometimes not. They can also switch which ear they hold down. Usually, once they are fully grown, both ears will stay straight up if that’s what they are meant to do.

Dogs with ears that stand straight up are less likely to get ear infections…but that doesn’t mean they can’t. Regular cleaning of the ears is always advised. Start with once a week and change that frequency based on how much debris you get back.

Here is a canine castration in high speed. As long as both testicles are descended, we don’t need to enter the abdomen, making this procedure less risky than a spay.
