❤🥰❤ HAPPY NEW HOME DAY, DUCKY!! ❤🥰❤

Today she's our lucky DUCKY! She finally found her 'purr'manent home after being with FFRS since mid-May 2024. She was found as a stray and the Good Samaritan who found her reached out to us - and now she has her 'fur'ever home. Thank you, Anne and Christian, for wanting a play buddy for your FFRS Alumni, Mia (fka Patty) and wanting to share your love and your home with DUCKY. We are confident that Mia and DUCKY are going to be BFFs and will provide you both with years of love, laughter, loyalty, and companionship - and we know DUCKY will keep your laps warm wrapped up in her cozy flannel blanket. Many thanks, too, to the two separate foster families that helped care for DUCKY and love her during her time with FFRS!!

My FFRS kitty Ozzy gets baths every 4-6 weeks so he can stay looking like this... He never gets mats! It may seem excessive to do that often but I don't want hair flying all over my house or having to shave or rip fur out of him so that's how I maintain it so he stays show ready."

🤎🧡🤎 CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR NEW HOME, NOVA AND DONNY!! 🤎🧡🤎

You heard that right - and what a way to start the New Year! NOVA (Blue Ticked Tabby and White DSH in the front) and her brother, DONNY (Golden Ticked Tabby and White DSH in the back) found their 'fur'ever home today! Cher and Charles were missing the antics of having cats and/or dogs in their lives and decided it was time - and NOVA and DONNY fit the bill for them. These two snuggle buddies are going to provide lots of love, laughter, loyalty, and companionship to their new family over the coming years - and will have visiting four-legged family members from time to time to keep them entertained. Thank you both, Cher and Charles for sharing your love and your home with these two tweenagers!

Carefully think through whether adding another cat, especially a young one, will be beneficial to your senior or geriatric cat. Additional stress is the last thing your older cat needs.

APPLE ANNIE is back with FFRS after her surgery yesterday. She is purring, purring, purring. Has a drain tube below her ear and is wearing a cone - but still purring away. Vet tech said she didn't eat overnight, but at 7:30am she was ready to eat and ate well! She goes back Monday to have the drain tube removed, then will go back on the 18th to get her stitches removed. She'll be getting quite a few meds between now and then. Overall, she looks great and is acting like she feels great - except for the cone - LOL!

Thanks to each and every one of you who donated and made her surgery possible ❤❤❤❤❤❤ We couldn't have done it without you!

We know everyone is probably wondering what in the world is going on with regard to APPLE ANNIE's surgery that was scheduled for last week. The facility had an emergency come in the morning APPLE ANNIE was originally scheduled for her surgery and they had to perform an unexpected emergency surgery on that patient. They rescheduled APPLE ANNIE for her surgery today.

Just spoke with Dr. Noone and all is well with APPLE ANNIE. She is awake after her surgery and is doing well and the surgery went well. Dr. Noone found an issue with her left ear as well and took care of that. I'll be getting another update on her recovery at about 9:00p tonight.

We cannot express our appreciation enough to everyone who donated to APPLE ANNIE's surgery and I know there are many well wishes being sent for her fast and uneventful recovery. We are expected to be able to pick her up tomorrow assuming all goes well for her overnight.

Again, thank you, thank you, thank you for helping Fancy Feline Rescue of the South help APPLE ANNIE with her medical issues!

Will give everyone another update tomorrow after her pick-up!
