2025 Reno Rodeo mutton bustin’ will be open from Feb. 1 at 10 a.m. through Feb. 9 at 5 p.m. On Feb. 10 a computerized random selection will determine the lucky applicants who will receive notifications about their successful entry. Successful applicants must submit a $75 entry fee to secure their spot. Those not selected will be notified and added to a waitlist.

They may be small, but they are not faint of heart! Eligible contestants must be no less than five years of age, no more than seven years of age and may not weigh more than 65 pounds as of June 19, 2025.

We would like to send a huge thank you to Farm Bureau Bank for fully funding the nightly Reno Rodeo Mutton Bustin' College Scholarship. Every evening, a contestant will be drawn randomly for a $2,500 scholarship. THANK YOU, Farm Bureau Bank!

BIG BIG things are coming for The Triple R as we transition operations here in Central Oregon to a prime facility in Powell Butte. We are so excited to share all the incredible information happening behind the scenes. Here’s a sneak peek at our blank slate we will be making home and retrofitting for our program. More to come on our new & talented Head Trainer, JD Thacker and all that he will have to offer his/our clients. Feel free to PM for specifics. This 7th generation cowboy from Imlay, Nevada has made us all proud . We'd like to root him on at the Snaffle Bit Futurity in Fort Worth, Texas. His grandma Jill Thacker will be on her big screen TV watching every run and his number one fan John Thacker will be watching from the best seat in the house, that big blue sky in heaven.
