Merry Christmas!
I’d like to thank all of those that have come to me to learn more, do more and be more.
This has been a year of many blessings. I have had the opportunity to meet many amazing new families while continue to work with the families that have trusted me for a long time.
Highlights this year included going to the fair with my daughter and Rylee. I hosted the Jane Melby barrel racing clinic, it was an awesome learning session for all. Then in August the Harrison family, from England, came for several days. The Person family came all summer, traveling from Sheridan, to get roping lessons. The summer was filled with riding daily.
The horse life can be a challenging life but there’s nothing better.
I look forward to what is yet to come in 2025!
Game of Simon
Learning comes in many forms and when ideas, concepts and skills can be presented in different ways, students will strengthen their recollection.
We played saddle parts like the game Simon. The students say it, touch it, and move around. They are having fun, getting a rhythm to the game, building focus and stability.
They each played as the one starting it and also as the follower. It can actually be more difficult leading the game.
I’m so excited for his future! Virgil started with me this summer and today we roped live cattle and then wrapped up the day with a bit more sled roping. He has done a phenomenal job of overcoming fears, stress and all the new challenges.
Arizona time
Jezell’s little mare is the absolute best. I tried her out the one night on live cattle and she did great, but we will brush off the rust and get real practice in now…….unless Jezell takes her away from me 🤣
