Miss Maryland will be at Pet Supplies Plus on Saturday from 10am-11am! She is looking for her forever home 💕

I am a sweet girl aged about 5 years old and weigh about 36 pounds. I am absolutely the sweetest girl, to know me is to ADORE me. I love snuggling up with you on the couch or sitting on your lap in a chair! I was kept in horrible living conditions with a few other dogs until someone saw a video of us online and called some good people to come rescue me. I lived in a shelter in Southern Ohio for a few months before coming to PAWS! Since then, I have started allergy medications, had several teeth removed, and got all my vaccines up to date. I will likely need to be treated for allergies for my whole life, but I am so good about taking pills and going to the vet! I love car rides and jump right up into the car. If there’s an adventure to be had, I want to be right by your side! I recently went kayaking and had a blast! I love to play with other dogs and am now learning how to fetch and how to play with toys! I love getting zoomies in the yard then coming inside to snuggle. I just have the biggest smile and am such a happy girl! I go potty outside, walk well on a leash, get along with other dogs, and do well in a crate while my foster parents are gone or sleeping. If you are looking for love, let me be your girl! I even have a little heart-shaped spot on my side :)

Hi, I’m Pickles! I am 1-2 years old, 32 lbs, and female. My breed is unknown, but I could be a beagle mixed with Vizsla or maybe Rhodesian Ridgeback. I have lighter eyes that match my coat and a nub tail.

I am funny when I want to play with other dogs and I get all twitchy and hop around and want to zoom. Sometimes they don’t want to play so I just keep bouncing around by myself. I live with other male and female dogs from 23-100 lbs and we get along fine. I met some cats and they were kind of interesting but I didn’t really do anything, so I might need further testing to see if I would do well with cats (let me know if you would like me to do another practice session). I haven’t met any kids yet. I have seen some horses from a distance but ignored them.

I came from a bad situation before PAWS and I need a patient adopter who will help teach me that the world is ok. I was scared of crates initially but now I eat my meals in the crate for short periods of time. I am not destructive so my foster humans leave me uncrated when they leave the house. Sometimes I get scared by loud noises and want to bolt and hide, or am too scared to go through the doorway to go to the back yard. I am working on my house training and it should go better once I feel safer at going in and out of the house. The good news is that I am very food motivated and I also will pick a person who is my buddy and I will follow them around. I also like to curl up right next to you on the couch. With more practice and as I learn that people don’t want to hurt me I will get more confident. I can walk on leash but sometimes I get scared and want to bolt or flatten myself into a little pancake on the ground. I really like walking on trails and it makes me happy and excited. Hi, my name Pink! I’m 9 months old and 32 pounds. My foster parents think I could be Border Collie/Boxer/Lab, but whatever I’m mixed with, my foster parents say I’m super sweet. I’m low to medium energy.

I was surrendered with my litter mates at a shelter in Southern Ohio. I’m learning the world now and can be scared of new sounds, so my new family will have to be patient with me.

I’m crate trained but have done well outside of the crate for short periods of time. I’m almost house-trained, but not quite yet. I haven’t been around kids but my fosters think I would be fine with them. Unsure about cats!

Hi there. My name is Pilot. I am a 6 year old 15 pound Chihuahua. I’m the perfect little guy, I am potty trained, walk well on leash and I’m good with dogs and cats. I am looking for a home without kids under the age of 13 because I need someone to respect my space. It takes me a second to warm up to new people but once I do I’ll love you. Meet Newton!
This handsome fellow recently lost his dad. Newton is a 21b 12 yr old Pekingese/Corgi. He is very friendly and does great with people and has been around mostly seniors.

Newton still was staying at the nursing home being cared for by the staff after his dad’s passing. A very nice couple who’s grandmother is also there just across the hall from his dad’s room was spreading the word in trying to find a place for him to go and went gone above and beyond for him. Newton deserves to spend the rest of his golden years as loved as he was with his dad!

Newton prefers a home without young children and a low key retirement life! Newton’s ideal home would be someone who likes to hangout at home. Newton does struggle with a flight of steps but completely ok with a 3-4 coming and in and out. For 12 yrs old he’s doesn’t look or act 12. You’d think he was 6-8 by meeting him. Newton does well in a car but needs to be picked up to get in and out as he has such stubby legs. Newton is also good with other dogs as long as they match his lower energy and respect his space and his senior age.

Newton has allergies and has been on Apaquel for years and will need to be given a daily pill for maintenance. He doesn’t require much, no need for long walks as he can really only make it about 1/4 of a block before he needs to be picked up.

If you’re looking for a lower energy guy that still has tiny playful moments, Newton may be your new best friend. Seniors are some of the best companions around as they are calm, already have manners, house trained, and a bonus is he’s insanely handsome with his stubby legs and frosted face! Can you be his person or family that can give Newton his final forever home?!

Meet Dawn, PAWS newest intake! Dawn’s gray muzzle makes her look older but she's only 2-3 years. The gray is her natural coloring! She was a stray who spent a month in a southern OH shelter before PAWS took her in. This week, the vet told us that she has heartworm, which requires a 90-120 day treatment where she needs to keep a low heartrate. Dawn needs a few things to help keep her mind and nose occupied while on crate rest.

Hi! I’m Dotty, I am a 6 month old terrier/hound mix. I am a curious, playful, snuggly puppy, and will probably be about 50lbs when I am full grown. I love playing with toys, chasing balls, and chewing on bones. I am great with other dogs, not sure how I would do with cats, but we can find out! I am super smart and a very fast learner, I am potty trained and will ring a bell to signal when I need to go out! I learned that trick in just one day. I know how to sit and shake, working on a few other commands as well.

I like to play with other dogs, but love a good snuggle with the humans too! I am curious when out for a walk (as a puppy should be!) and love exploring new areas. I sometimes bark at people or dogs that I see on a walk, but in a “hello” sort of way. I sleep in my crate, and hang out there when the humans are gone with no problems.

I’m a smart little lady that would be a great addition to a family that is looking for a puppy to grow up with!

I’m Peter Pan! I am male, 4 years old and weigh 60 pounds. I’m a mix of we think border collie, rat terrier, and other active breeds. I like to keep busy but also love to lounge and be an office buddy when my foster mom is working from home.

I’m a silly dog with a fun personality and love to chase a tennis ball or kick it around to entertain myself. I am fully house trained and don’t need to be in a crate when my foster parents are gone. I often choose to hang out in my crate or curl up in my little cat bed when I want to rest. I’m easygoing but can be picky with dog friends. I would love a buddy that matches my personality and could play silly games with me. I haven’t been around many kids but I’m sure we’d get along great especially if you have cheese! I’m Miley!! I’m a 6 month old southern gal from a Shelter in Kentucky. I was surrendered with my parents and littermates. My estimated weight may be 50 pounds, but my foster mom thinks I will be smaller.

Im playful but I can chill and lay in your lap and give kisses to.
My foster mom has been teaching me commands. I’m almost there in house training too! Im crate trained and like to take my naps in the crate while my foster away or just to hang out in. I get along with other dogs. Children is unknown, but my foster mom thinks I would be fine with them.

Hello, I’m Yelena! I am a collie mix, with possibly some husky, around 3 years old. I weigh 33 pounds. I am house and crate trained. I am very well behaved inside, but outside I will chase squirrels and bunnies. I just can’t help myself when I see them running around out there. I am beautiful with a long coat that does shed. It will need brushed and groomed more than most dogs. I will do ok with dogs and children as long as they are ok with me in their space. I love pettings and learning with treats. I am a happy girl and would love to make you happy too.
