Queenie absolutely loves this bed! She only comes out to eat or do her business. It was donated to us more than a year ago, but none of the others seemed to like it. With their sense of smell being 10000 times more powerful than humans, I know she must smell Dude and takes great comfort in his scent. From what I've heard, he was an amazing little man and his mom loved him beyond words. Thank you, Dude. Your mom's generosity and your memory lives on here at Miko's Sanctuary.

Shamus always seems sad. I've noticed since opening the sanctuary that no two blind dogs are alike. Some act as if it doesn't bother them at all, while others seem hopelessly depressed. He has a snuffle mat that will get his tail wagging for a short period of time. I take him for walks. He isn't excited about toys. Anyone have any ideas to share on how to make this precious boy a little happier?

Yes, I know. She needs her nails trimmed. She has a vet appointment this afternoon. Because we're still building trust, I let my vet do the first trim.
