While showering dogs with affection is natural for humans to do, it can lead to challenges if we don't also have clear boundaries.
The truth is, if we really love our dog, we would provide them with the things that we already know are necessary to good behavior. Rules, boundaries, leadership, guidance, accountability, are all great alternatives to over-nurturing, over-coddling, over-petting, over-praising, and free roaming full-time.
understanding how to live in a way that supports a dog’s well-being can make all the difference...the then the humans are happier too and a lot less stressed. but it takes discipline. It takes discipline to provide the things we know we need to provide in lieu of doing only what feels good all the time...which may become an addiction for the dog.
Our goal is to help owners connect with their dogs in a healthier, more structured way. But regardless, it will always require a little more discipline on the part of the human (owner) to make the right progress.
