She’s lost control!
The summer lesson session has officially come to an end, so as a reminder, there will be no lessons this week.
Also, we are both sad and excited to announce that we will now be shifting our focus to our show team. This means we will no longer be giving lessons outside of that. We want to thank everyone who came to us this summer for lessons-it was so fun and busy! We are excited to be able to focus on showing more and putting more work into our horses. We also hope to accept new show teams to our barn in the future! This change will also allow us to spend more time with our families. We can’t wait to see what the future holds and appreciate all the support we’ve been shown as we explore what works best for our barn ❤️
Tulip and I are going to jump back in for one day only this fall! Times will be listed in the comments. $50 to book, balance due at session. Can take any electronic payment method.
There is always plenty of extra practice you can do, even if your trainer isn’t available. Ask for some exercises you can be working on!
Last Friday we had our last day camp of the summer and we had a small but great group! We learned all about taking care of horses, safety, some first aid, grooming, tack, and riding. We tie dyed our shirts, took pictures with our favorite horses and made picture frames for them. It was a beautiful day and we’re so glad these girls joined us for some fun!!
I have 2 spots left for our one day horse camp this Friday 7/19. This is our last camp of the year!
Just a little appreciation post for my favorite ass. coach! I couldn’t have made it through the show or fair week without her. We are darn close to being a well oiled machine. For having 5 horses and 8 kids to get ready, everyone made it to their classes and I don’t think a single piece of tack was forgotten. Can’t wait to see what our team accomplishes in the future-but I know it will be so much more and so much sweeter with your help and support. Just know your hard work and dedication does not go unnoticed or unappreciated ❤️
I could not be more proud of this fantastic group of kiddos!

We started the day very early today at the Vigo County Fair. We took 5 horses and 8 kids 😳 Although it was a little chaotic at times, I don’t think it could’ve gone much more smoothly. The parents were a huge help and I couldn’t be prouder of this group of kids. No complaints, no tantrums-just courteous, hard working and grateful kiddos. It makes it all worth it to see the kids get out there and have fun and see their work come to fruition. We had lots of success, but I think my proudest moment was seeing every single one of my kids out in the Grand & Reserve Showman Class ❤️
And we couldn’t do this without the horses. We couldn’t have asked for much more than what they gave us today. From a 3 year old to a 29 year old, they tried their hearts out for those kids and that’s what it’s all about!
More pictures to come as we collect them all!
Just a reminder that there will be NO LESSONS next week 7/8-11. We will be at the Vigo Co. Fair
We will be showing at 9 am Saturday 7/6 if you’d like to come watch 🍀
We will be paying close attention to the weather the rest of the week and will contact lesson families with any cancellations
Happy 9th Birthday to our very own Miss Eva! Larky says Happy Birthday to you!!
We didn’t get enough of the heat and horses all week, so we went to a horse show yesterday 🤪 We took 3 horses and 5 kids. There were tears shed, ribbons won, experiences gained, sweat sweated, money earned and fun had by all! Now we know what we’ve got to work on during these last 2 weeks before fair! 💪🏼 It’s crunch time, girlies!
Last day! What a whirlwind of a week at horse camp 🥵 Today was a busy day getting our horses cared for quickly, decorating our water bottles, painting portraits of our favorite horses and then getting the horses ready for our show. The girls got to do a little grand entry and show off their riding to friends and family. Then we celebrated with ice cream sundaes and a unicorn piñata 🦄 It was a week of learning and fun and I hope everyone enjoyed it!
It was somehow even hotter today for day 4 of camp 🥵 After our morning chores, we learned about our horses’ hooves and how important it is to care for them. Then we cleaned and oiled every horses hooves! We also learned about parasites and why it’s important to deworm our horses, then the girls got to give all the horses their dewormer. We took a picture with baby Alder, did a couple of fun crafts and finished the day practicing for our little show tomorrow. I know the girls all are looking forward to showing their horses off and telling you all about their favorites ❤️
Whew, it was a hot day 3 of horse camp 🥵 we got our morning chores done, had a snack and a popsicle, made tie-dye shirts, had lunch and changed right into swimsuits! We got crazy and rode in our bathing suits and boots today, and some of the girls rode ba****ck! Then we played in the water, took a picture with our favorite horses, then worked on some friendship bracelets. Ready for a fun day 4 tomorrow!
We’ve had a fun-filled first couple of days at horse camp this week! The kids are getting good at getting the barn chores done in the morning so we can get to the good stuff. Excited for more fun things to come this week!

Camp is TOMORROW! 🤠

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LARKY!! 🎈🎂
Today is Lark’s 29th birthday! This photo was taken 10 years ago at a horse camp I held when I lived in Indianapolis. When I thought of what picture to post, this one popped into my head 😂 This is our 22nd year together-it’s gone so fast! He’s been such an influence in my life and is the king of the barn (just ask him). Make sure to give him a birthday carrot this week ❤️
We got our photos back from the Youth Show yesterday! So proud of these kids and horses ❤️ Megan and I literally said on the way there that we had to go into this with no expectations. This was Judd & Kinzlee’s second time showing solo, Sophie’s only been doing this for a year AND with a new horse, and this was by far the biggest show Kynslee’s ever shown at! They blew us away-3 ribbons and finals in two more classes. I can’t wait to see how they continue to improve.
I still have 2 spots available in our weeklong camp, and several spots in our July 19 day camp! The weeklong camp is $400, includes a camp t-shirt and snacks are provided. The day camp is $100 with shirt and snacks also provided. Message me for registration info!
Our first horse camp is in the books! We hope everyone had a good time and learned a lot about horses and taking care of them. Big thanks to Megan and Ava for all their help!
Our first day camp is tomorrow!

Baby Ivy just started Finals for the semester with her training student, Mikayla. She’s made some great progress in her showmanship training! Nice run, girls!
Ike is enjoying the weekend as a house cat after his neuter on Friday. Turns out he’s a big fan of the Paw Patrol 😂
So proud of Kynslee and the job she is doing with Tulip. Sometimes as an instructor you have to find what really does it for a kid, and for Kynslee, she needs a challenge. Whether it is to rise to the occasion at a show or take on a challenging horse, I think we've found it! She killed it at fair this year, and has since started riding Tulip. Tulip is a very good girl, but she's never had the consistent training that our other horses have had. Kynslee is doing a great job of being patient with her, learning different cues to ask for certain things, and how being an effective rider translates to what a horse does. Excited to see this pair progress, especially once Tulip sheds her baby weight 🤣
Lark's post-fair turnout was a little less exciting than normal. He must've been worn out. He was pretty happy about being able to have a good roll! Aleisha Conwell
So proud of Kynslee and how her English riding is progressing! This is maybe her 4th time riding English and her first time on Ivy. She's getting stronger every time 💪🏼 Since Facebook won't let me post more than one video, I'll put her first time riding English in the comments.
