"Goldie" is a 4 year old buckskin mare that has a great mind and composition. She has been camping several times this summer and has been ridden extensively here at home. I have no doubt that with the proper training, she could go just about any direction a person desires.

She has been ridden by beginners with no issues, but I would not consider her "beginner broke;" that will come with time!

Josie is a uniquely colored, gentle, and well-built mare! She is going to be 4 in June and has had approximately 90 days of riding on her. She has had extensive groundwork and has been ridden all over rigorous Wisconsin trails. She handles nicely, moves off of leg pressure, and has a very soft face. She naturally maintains a nice head set as she moves and is very smooth. She would suit an intermediate rider best, as she is young and may test an inexperienced rider; however, her disposition is pleasant and with time, she will be suitable for anyone to ride!

I had not ridden in 20 years and frankly it was a bit daunting. The first time I said I wanted to ride, without hesitation, dad said take CR Smokes Midnight. His dam was a mare I bought as a baby when I was still in high school and he is is her last c**t. The last photo is that first ride with dad. Midnight did everything right and I was hooked again. I needed a way to connect with dad and this was it. Step outside your comfort zone…You might like it!

Hi All!

Now that Samantha and I have been married for a couple months and are finally somewhat settled in, I'd like to take on some more outside horses for training. Whether you would like a horse started, have issues with a horse, or just want miles put on, please feel free to reach out!

Rodney and Charlene have taken their horses to all parts of the country, but they always tried to get a good start on them at home. If you've ever ridden here, you know that these hills can help a horse grow not only physically, but especially mentally. Like Rodney told me the other day: "If he can walk down this trail, he can walk down anyone I will ever go down!" With as many miles that man has on a horse, truck, and trailer, it has to hold some credibility!

Good Evening!

With everything going on here lately, we've failed to keep you all updated! We recently finished our first cutting of hay, have been breeding mares, riding horses, and keeping an eye on these pups! Sadie had 3 male and 3 female pups June 13th; Sassy had 1 male and 2 female pups. Here are a couple pictures of Sadie's litter. As soon as we can tell for sure what color they are, we will reach out to those at the top of the list!

We just wanted to reiterate that unfortunately, Mother Nature hasn't cooperated enough for us to have our Annual Mother's Day Trail Ride this weekend. However, Rodney hopes to have a ride here sometime later this summer. We will keep you posted! He continues to extend his gratitude to all of you; your kind words do not go unappreciated!

Hi Everyone!

First of all, thank you so much for your kind words and best wishes. We look forward to this journey and will do our absolute best to carry on the legacy of CR. As you know, Charlene was especially proud of her Dalmatian pups. Consequently, we will continue helping Rodney raise them until he decides not to!

Due to unforeseen medical conditions with 2 of the people that had these 2 male liver-spotted puppies claimed, they are now available! Please let us know if you have any interest. They would make excellent Mother's Day gifts! 🙂

Life is full of transitions and we are not immune to that here. I would like to introduce Trae Sander and Samantha Manning to you. Trae and Sam are in helping Dad at CR Quarter Horses & Dalmations and in the process of taking over the "reins". This is not a process that will happen overnight but one that Mom and Dad had agreed upon prior. We can't wait to continue working with Trae and Sam as we work through the transition process. The Booms will always be active but don't be surprised to see messages from our new "bloodline" also! WELCOME!

Showing COCOA'S MARCH, 2022 Litter of 13 ...7 girls..6 boys..all livers..awesome puppies....WANT TO LET ALL CUSTOMERS with deposites on our puppy list. Anyone with a request with black spots will have to choose one of these or wait until next litter from SADIE or SASSIE...BOTH of these females have some livers but not all. Some breeders get more money for livers, but for 42 years I have let my new owners make their own choices.
