Congratulations to Gina Bertoli Nickel for winning a year's worth of Purina dog food!!!

We received 115 pounds of dog and cat food for the Rivers and Bluffs Animal Shelter PDC , and Purina will match pound for pound, making it a whopping 230 pounds!!

Thank you to all who donated to make sure the bellies are full over there at the shelter, the animals sure do appreciate it!

This is a great start to 2025!! On December 16, 2024, an injured barred owl was brought to us by Prairie du Chien Police K9 Unit officer, Dwight Kussmaul. Dr. Laura Johnson treated the owl for the past 2 weeks for head and eye trauma. Officer Kussmaul had the honor of releasing the owl today, in the same location it was found. Pictures below are the day the owl was found, and progress during its rehabilitation and treatment. See video of the release in the comments.

The Glapinski household wants to encourage everyone to contribute to this year's Purina donation cause! They were 2024's winner of free Purina food for a year and would love to help promote this.

Purina will match pound for pound that is donated to Rivers and Bluffs Animal Shelter PDC, and those who donated will get a chance to win a year's worth of Purina dog or cat food for 2025! Just bring a bag to the clinic, or we have bags to purchase as well if you aren't sure what to buy.

We will be accepting donations until 12/31!

This naughty K9 was caught shoplifting and she has absolutely no remorse. Perhaps we can get some help from our men and women in blue with catching and prosecuting this thief! 🤣🤣

In the last 7 days our clinic has seen 5 cases of anaplasmosis and lyme disease by testing with our 4DX test (a blood test that checks for heartworm disease, and three tick borne diseases which are anaplasmosis, lyme, and ehrlichia).
