And this is Willow today. Happy and healthy, playing with her housemates. Seeing updates like this makes us so happy. The road to recovery is a team effort. And yes we cared for her while she was with us, but we cannot thank the dedicated owners enough for their pivotal role in giving her a chance and helping her get back to normal! ❤️❤️❤️ #WeCareForYourBestFriend

Today we received an update from an owner on a pet we saw over the summer for a heat stroke. Willow was a husky lab mix that presented to our hospital unresponsive and seemingly on death's door. Dr Wyatt was the admitting veterinarian, and with the help of our staff she worked tirelessly to stabilize her. Heat stroke can lead to a variety of life threatening symptoms such as organ damage, seizures and neurologic impairments. Willow stayed with us for 4 days for intensive care before being discharged to her owners for them to continue care at home. The first video (taken by the owner) we are sharing was an amazing milestone for Willow while under our care because when first seen she could not even hol her head up, let alone stand or walk.
