PAHS needs an immediate foster for a sweet little family. Misty is a Retriever/Shepherd mix who was brought to the shelter as stray from out in the county. Two days after intake she had puppies. Misty is a wonderful and attentive mother; and she weighs about 46 pounds. She takes good care of her puppies; and she is loving and sweet to her human friends as well. This little family needs to be in a foster home for at least 4 weeks. The puppies are 2 weeks old. We have a rescue who is taking the puppies but unable to foster this family. Misty will be available for adoption after the puppies are weaned. Please reach out to us if you can foster this sweet little family. PAHS will provide everything you need; and be responsible for any vet care needed. Call the shelter at 334-358-2882 between 11-4 and ask about fostering this precious little family. UPDATE: PENDING ADOPTION This week's featured pet, Bumble, is a truly handsome fellow. Bumble is a 2-year-old male Anatolian Shepherd/Husky mix; and we believe he may also have Great Pyrenees in his mix. He must be neutered before adoption. Bumble was found in a Prattville neighborhood; and no owner came to reclaim him. This is a truly gorgeous dog! Bumble's long coat is mostly brown with a good bit of white markings; and he has black highlights around his face. He has stunning crystal blue eyes. Bumble weighs 51 pounds so he is considered to be a large adult dog. He is well behaved on a leash; and very sweet. Because he is a stray, we are still learning about him.
