We welcomed "Beauty" as part of the sanctuary family last week. She's a senior pony mare with some medical needs. She's skinny, weak and has a grade 5 heart murmur. Luckily her blood work isn't to bad so we're hopeful she will gain some strength with some proper supplements and feed and the vet is hopeful to try a dental on her this coming Wednesday if she's strong enough and that will also help her eat properly.
For now she's being showered with lots of love every day from us and our wonderful volunteers for as long as she chooses to be with us❤️.

Our sweet girl Ellie May got a body clipping and bath and a brand new mini donkey fly mask! She's such a sweetheart to handle. Ellie has some metabolic issues that makes her coat long and thick and doesn't shed hardly which makes this a necessity for her comfort.

🐔🥚The line for the favorite egg laying box was pretty long the other morning so I guess a few left to rummage through the feed shed and this was the aftermath 🤣😂. Oh chickens......they love to find the best spot. Fyi they have several nice areas with boxes and hay but we get 7 to 9 eggs a day in the box we set on a feed barrel.

Meet "Toby" a 10mth old 40lbs lab mix who's loving, housebroken and Loves the outdoors and very active. Toby was a rescue and has current medical needs still. He is positive for Valley Fever and meds are costing about $25 a month. He also has an issue with a toe that possibly will require some care and it's possible it's from the valley fever. This poor pup really needs to find a committed and financially secure home and we all know this is going to be a struggle to find his forever family. His rescuer has done wonders for him and he's just not a good fit for them to keep in a house with senior dogs and cats. We lost a cherished member of our sanctuary residents Monday morning. Lilly came to us 8 yrs ago from a large hoarding
case in Mesa Arizona. She was such a favorite amongst everyone she met. Sweet and sassy and never missed a treat opportunity. 💔Rip sweet Lilly you will be so missed 💔🐖🪽

Always a different task each day at the rescue! Here's our ranch manager Amy having some fun posing for a picture while working on shaving our big Woolly mammoth of a horse Arthur lol. Arthur is a huge older warmblood gelding who's borderline Cushing's and it causes him to grow long hair and it gets matted this time of year so we help him feel more comfortable by shaving it off with this upcoming warmer weather. Many thanks to our volunteers Tony who's keeping Arthur happy with treats and Lennart who snapped this photo in-between doing waters and feeding our donkeys.

Every dollar helps. Hog Haven Farm helped us by taking a difficult placement of a big girl pig Lola and her companion Kevin several years ago. I feel for them right now. I was complaining about how difficult it was to feed and water in single digits and they are below zero!! Please consider helping them out ♥️

It's wonderful what a difference just two weeks of diet change can do❤️❤️. Meet Roscoe one of our new sanctuary residents. He's a 30yo gelding who's owner has fallen into hard times. At 30yo he was definitely at risk so we welcomed him home. He's had his vet check and first farrier visit and his much needed dental is scheduled next week. This is were your donations go ❤️. Following an idea from a fellow pig rescue to have Cupcake Friday in memory of Esther the Wonder Pig who loved a good cupcake we decided to join in. Rip sweet girl. You made a tremendous impact in this world and will always be remembered! 😢💔

Hello, everybody.

There’s no easy way to say this, but the day we all wished would never come has arrived. Esther has passed away. She was calm and peaceful, and fell asleep with her dad Steve by her side.

While we understand many of you will have questions, and we will have the answers for you , but we are going to take a little break to process the situation.

Even though Esther is no longer physically with us, her memory and legacy will live forever. Esther is immortal, and we will continue to show the world that all animals deserve to be loved just like she was.

Sending love and happy thoughts to each and every one of you. We know you all loved her just as much as we did, and we thank you for that.
