Hello everyone!
I am partnering with Megan Hensley as an affiliate to help get more donkeys around the world the proper hoof care that they deserve! Too many donkeys are not receiving hoof care and living in serious states of neglect. Megan's online class offers donkey owners the opportunity to take trimming into their own hands. Too often we hear stories that horse farriers are not willing to take on donkeys, or do not have the education to trim donkeys correctly, leading to donkey owners being left without options. Megan Hensley is an amazing teacher and her class is worth taking for all donkey owners!
Up until Cyber Monday, December 2nd, if you use my affiliate link below, you will receive a 40% discount on your cost! You can pay in full, or in 6 payments.

Let's help spread the word and get donkeys the hoof care that they deserve!

I’m happy to see the program coming back 🙌
Forever Branded

We're excited to announce we've signed five new partnership agreements with organizations in California, Oregon, Texas and Washington to support our efforts to train and place more wild horses and burros into good homes.

Forever Branded is our new nation-wide partner supporting efforts across the country to find more good homes for wild horses and burros. Its Branded Partnerships program will establish a network of equine trainers to train and gentle wild horses and burros for adoption. Branded Adoption Centers will be located across the country and provide adoption opportunities for local communities. Forever Branded will also host annual events to showcase the trainability of the animals and build a community of trainers willing to share best practices.

We're also partnering with Teens And Oregon Mustangs, Meeker Mustang Makeover, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Wild Horse Program and MYWY - Mustang Yearlings/Washington Youth to assist with education and outreach, training animals and placing wild horses and burros into private care in their local communities.

Together, these partnerships could help place approximately 11,000 additional wild horses and burros over and above the BLM’s existing adoption program, saving taxpayers approx. $160 million. We look forward to working with all of our new and existing partners to support our mission of managing healthy wild horses and burros on healthy public rangelands.

From Student to Professional Trimmer: Juliana Landenburg's Inspiring Journey

I still remember my phone call with Juliana over two years ago, when she was deciding whether to join my online course with group coaching. She told me she only planned to trim her own donkeys and those that came in for tip training... ha ha!

Within just a few weeks of class, I could see her natural talent and passion shining through. I remember saying, "Juliana, you should really consider becoming a professional trimmer."

After completing my course she was hooked on hooves, and sought additional training to deepen her skills, allowing her to serve more donkeys in need.

Juliana's journey from rescuing donkeys to becoming a skilled donkey hoof trimmer is nothing short of inspiring. Now, her gentle and knowledgeable approach benefits many in the Verde Valley area of Arizona, making a significant impact on donkey welfare.

Juliana is truly a champion for donkeys, and I couldn't be happier for her and all the donkeys she touches!

I think we are going to call her Maple 🍁
Maple stays with the “red” color name that she came with, plus maple trees are one of my favorites. Maples represent seasons of change.
Reminds us of the changing seasons in our own lives and embracing change as part of His plan. Just as the Maple tree endures through the changing seasons, so too can we withstand the trials and tribulations that come our way.

When you’re feeling stumped, phone a friend!!
In the world of equine, I find that too often there is this level of “competition” amongst other equine enthusiasts; whether it be various trainers, hoof care care providers, disciplines, even amongst riders of the same discipline. What it is, is called pride. People’s pride gets in the way and they’re too proud to think someone else might have another option that could possibly work better for a particular situation. I for one, am not ashamed to humble myself and ask for help when I feel stumped, whether it’s training or trimming, or something I’m not getting within the saddle, I have many folks who I reach out to and ask for help. It takes a village to do right by these animals and there is not one correct way of doing things. We all come from various backgrounds, education, and experiences.
Darlin’ has some of the most structurally weak hooves that I’ve ever seen. Every aspect of her hoof structure is just weak, and therefore, she never grows a beautiful donkey hoof. is an extremely knowledgeable and well educated hoof care professional who came today to trim Darlin so that I could get a different set of eyes on her feet and hopefully give some different perspectives to improving her hooves. Cristina Bel Winemiller has some great ideas of building temporary “prosthetic heels” to see if we can reverse her negative palmar angle on her hind feet and encourage correct growth. Stay tuned to see if we do this!
I wish more people in the equine world would come together and collaborate with one another. It truly is what’s in the best interest for these animals ❤️
Thank you Hometown Hoofcare
