The original IG outfitter, how it started...
With their long limbs, deep chests, thin hips and skinny necks, I could never find anything that fit my Italian greyhounds properly. Every item in my collection was “invented” for my own IGs whom I’ve loved for 21+ years. In January 2008 when I opened my first online petwear shop there was little to be found for our skinny hounds that didn’t like cold or wet weather. It started with hats, soft collars, fleece PJs and our famous Pee-Liminator™ bellyband which was perfected for a little foster Iggy named Buddy who LOVED to mark. As an innovator I spend hours, sometimes DAYS researching and creating a product collection or redesign that will make your life and your dog’s life a little easier and always comfortable. In early 2011, K9 Sunwear™ was developed for my first IG Valentino who had an aggressive, inherited skin cancer. I looked high and low for UV protective dog clothing and there wasn’t any, so I created it. We were the first company making UV protective pet clothing and stand proudly behind each and every design. Forward to 2020 and we offer over 50 colors and prints in these high quality athletic fabrics which provide 30-50+ UPF protection. Sadly, others have tried to copy my unique products and while I’m happy that my original designs are in demand, it saddens me to think that people think it’s OK to steal them. If it doesn’t say “Spoiled Bratzwear” or “K9 Sunwear”, it’s not the original. Innovating and creating is the best part of the “job” and that is why I am fiercely protective of my intellectual property. We also have a Senior Partner’s Program for those on a fixed income. We’ve lost 5 of our precious dog children in the last 8 years and only have one IG now, so I really appreciate the photos you send me of your IGs modeling their fashions for use in the shop. I am eternally grateful to all of my dogs for their unconditional love and inspiration, if not for them I would not HAVE a business. Thank You for your support these past 12 years.
