Our hearts are heavy as we witness the devastation caused by the fires in California. The loss, fear, and uncertainty faced by those affected—both human and animal—are beyond words. To the families forced to leave their homes and the animals caught in this unimaginable tragedy, please know you are in our thoughts.

We are deeply moved by the heroic efforts of the brave men and women risking their lives to battle these fires. Their courage and selflessness inspire all of us, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude for their tireless work in the face of such overwhelming danger.

As a community of animal lovers, we are particularly heartbroken for the pets and wildlife displaced by this disaster. Animals bring so much joy and comfort to our lives, and their well-being during times like these is crucial. We stand in solidarity with the shelters, rescue organizations, and volunteers working tirelessly to reunite pets with their families, provide sanctuary, and offer hope.

Let us come together in compassion and support, helping wherever we can to ease the burden on those affected. Whether it’s through donations, or simply spreading awareness, every effort makes a difference.

In celebration of New Year's Day, Yavapai Humane Society will be open today at 11:30am! No appointment is needed! Adoption fees are $80 for ALL dogs, ANY size and ANY age! Not only do you get to take your new best friend home, but your adoption fees also include dog food, leash, treats and much more! The shelter will be open until at least 3:00pm. If you plan on visiting after 3:00pm, please give us a call at 928-445-2666.
