Beyond proud of our barn family this weekend!
Sunday we traveled to Mon Cheval for their spring fling schoolingshow.
We had 8 horses and 10 riders.
3 did their very first schooling show off farm.
4 green horses still learning so many things.
2 students moving up a level this year
We may not have had the fanciest best bred horses but man do these individuals do the work and love the journey with their four legged friends/ family. You all had the best attitudes and made my job super enjoyable. Iβm just beaming π with pride.
Niall who has been in training with Leah Witt did amazing in her training level test. Her first time off farm in some time, both of their first schooling shows (π₯³), and only having her canter put on about 2 months ago. Two years ago this little red head mare had a pasture accident leaving us wondering about her quality of life and her future, tears were shed watching her final salute. Sheβs looking so strong and healthy. Thank you Katlyn Current for trusting us with her π₯°
Lola bean did super well with all three of her riders. Harper doing her first off farm schooling show and rocking it! Lexi doing two really nice consistent tests. Claire working her way through performing training 2 and 3 for the first time off farm. Amazing job getting quality trot and that stretchy trot ππππ. The Schultz girls have worked hard on learning the training skills and balance it takes to produce a quality training level horse and doing majority of the with themselves! Super proud of these young kiddos.
Noodin (baby thoroughbred) did soooo well for all three of his tests. Melissa is doing a beautiful job bringing this fun and quirky dude up the levels.
Vinnie, ridden tactfully by Madelyn Chandler had some super lovely moments including a right canter lead depart that was just π€π»π€©π! Watching their partnership is always so enjoyable β€οΈ.
Monty, what a guy! Esme has had this guy for roughly 6 months and although having some training and a good start it was a bit inconsistent and never finished. Esme has done a lovely job being patient with this big guy and it shows. He took everything in stride in a super looky arena. 6 months ago he shied at EVERYTHING. Yesterday he was attentive to his rider and pulled out two great rides. Canβt wait to see where these two go!
Newton and I tried our hand at working equitation (lots of fun and learned what not to do) and tested the quality of the grazing at the facility (it ainβt much but itβs honest work)
Hal is working on his confidence at new places and those darn ears. He progressively got better as the day went on. Even had some lovely through and fluid moments in the trot.
Rosie was a peach and did super well in her training level test. NAILING her right canter lead (unfortunately in both directions π) and pulled out a respectable score and a second place. π€©
Thank you to Katlyn for being THE BEST groom and treat giver. WE APPRECIATE ALL OF YOUR HELP! ππ₯°β€οΈβοΈ
Thank you to Leah Witt for your assistance and help all day. Itβs been such a blessing to have you join our barn family and having a knowledgeable and hard working trainer to help with all the things. π₯³βΊοΈπ₯°
