Lightning
Listening to the Thunder and lightning. Early, often, and calm exposure will minimize fearful behaviors later. If your dog is already fearful of thunder, do not force them to “face their fear”. It will take time and patience.
Doggie bike run
Beautiful day for a doggie bike run!
Sharing with Astrid
Watching a movie together
Dog time
My grand kids sharing a movie with the dogs. Great experience for the dogs to get used to kids, and good for the kids to learn to be gentle and sweet to dogs.
Spring!
If you haven’t gotten your dog out as much as you wanted because of bad weather (like me), today’s the day! Get out, breathe, enjoy! Your dog will love you for it.
Fun training! This puppy is practicing taking direction from her handler in a fun way. Make training a game, use obstacles like boulders in the park. Things to jump over, go under, climb, and jump off. The more they achieve and are rewarded for, the more confidence they build in themselves and their handler.
Doing a little long lead training (30 ft). No commands, free roam (30 ft), sensory exposure and making his own choices to come back and be rewarded!
PV class
I LOVE this class! Great job everyone.

Light The Workd
We’re down here at Light The World Vending Machines corner of Montezuma and Goodwin. Come check it out. Kick off at 4:00-9:00!
Luring a dog with a treat while learning how to loose leash walk, is NOT bribery. It’s teaching where is the most beneficial place to be. Just like when we get paid to do a job, it’s the pay off, the reward. Gotta make it worth it. This team is doing a great job!
Come to heel
A little long line work.
Come
Life gets busy, but remember, if you want your dog to LEARN, you have to TEACH. Repetition of a wanted OR unwanted behavior creates a habit. Consistent repetition of a cue, followed by a wanted behavior and a reward given, creates a “CONDITIONED RESPONSE”.
The “CONDITIONED RESPONSE” is typically a reflex - a behavior that requires no thought.
