Really solid advice!

If you had to pick one, would your dog be
🐾 Easy to train, or
🐶 Easy to live with?

Here is a hard truth.

Breed matters.

Anyone that tells you otherwise is either: a) not a knowledgable resource or b) has a reason they want to keep the truth from you.

Being 💯 honest with yourself about the time you can devote to training, and exercise is a crucial first step in finding a dog that is right for you.

If you are a in poor health, fairly sedentary, or want a dog to be your "emotional support"...there are a LOT of breeds that are not going to work out for you.

Prioritize the dog's quality of life in your decision making process.

Weigh your choice carefully by making characteristics like activity level, sociability and potential for guardian "watchdog" behaviors more important than how "cool" "cute" or "trainable" the dog is.

The Ladd family also has a little hobby farm/homestead.
We took a few cows in for a vet visit, and the trailer was just a little too busy for the newest addition to our Mini Jersey herd, so baby Chili Pepper got her own little cozy princess castle 👑
It was a perfect fit 🎀

Welcome Hank!! 🐾

Hank started his Day Camp obedience training program today, and his happy face says it all 🥰

Hank is an 11 month old Golden Retriever who is just as happy, sweet and fun loving as he looks 💕

His owners need a little help correcting problem behaviors including jumping up, mouthing/play biting, pulling on the leash, not coming when called and getting too excited about certain activities.

Day Camp is our hybrid program : the best parts of a board and train and a private lesson program combined!
Hank will spend the day with us 4 days a week for two weeks, and his owners will receive instruction and homework each night.
We will also have 3 private lessons with Hank and his owners to make sure everything is going smooth at home, and they will be invited to attend group Polishing Classes for the rest of Hanks life!
