The Kennewick show was awesome!

We didn’t get an awesome turn out (which I expected) but got some awesome comments.

We decided to trade BJ for another buck and I’m very excited about this handsome man!

We made new friends (The DCR Rabbitry) and saw some other friends (J.C.V Rabbitry, Burg’s Best Bunnies).

I got my brother to come to this show in hopes he’d take an interest in rabbits and join me in this hobby! Alas, he did not..

But, I really enjoy working with other people instead of doing this by myself, it makes it more interesting and fun for me! If any friends want to contact me about partnering in hollands in a tort and otter breeding project reach out to me and we can talk.

This guy is a fixed pitbull who will be a year old in July. He gets along with other dogs and cats, LOVES kids. He does have a tendency to chew stuff up but he’s smart and trains well! No fee!

Today we bred LLL Cosette to LLL Allen owned by Johanna at J.C.V Rabbitry. We got one fall off but we’re hopeful since he seems to be a very fertile boy!

We also welcomed home 10wk old JCV’s Twilight Skiier, we’ll see how he turns out!

It’s been a CRAZY couple of weeks! My horse barn soured and I’ve been working like crazy with her as well as figuring out rabbit plans and potentially looking into another horse (I know I’m delusional if I think all of this is going to go smoothly).

Horses -

While my Sammy is barn sour she is still a great and responsive horse, we’ve already made a lot of progress in one week! My dad found a cheaper horse that meets beginner requirements so he can ride with me that he is considering to trial lease and eventually purchase if it goes well.

Once Sammy is back to her normal self I’ll be posting our progress with liberty work and other training.

Rabbits -

Cosie and Percy are being bred on the 3rd!

LLL Cosette is being bred to J.C.V Rabbitry’s buck BBB CJ and LLL Rosalind (Percy) is being bred to our buck BJ!

We will also be bringing home a new buck which I’ll post about when he’s home.

HUGE update:

1, the bad news.

All of my babies died by the time they hit 7 weeks old, it was so weird but they did have really crappy fur and I’m thinking I had another full litter of faders. Regardless, I’ve treated the herd for EC and other parasites I can think of and will be disinfecting the cages before breeding again.

2, future plans.

I will be breeding my 2 does end of August for September babies, probably the week after fair if possible!

3, the GREAT news.

We purchased a new animal recently and she will be home in a couple weeks. See if you can guess what it is (my Facebook friends have already seen so no guessing!!)

Hint: an animal I’ve been wanting for a LONG time. 🤭

One of our black kits sadly passed randomly, but the others are looking great!

1-2 of these guys will be up for reservation (blue tort already reserved to a friend) in about 4-6 weeks so keep your eyes peeled!! 👀
