Why do I have to refer to my females as “dogs “as boys? If I refer to them as their normal gender name that starts with a B I get banned? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😊🤣🤣 no wonder our country gets so many scammers because we have to call our female dogs dogs like their boys. If we actually called them by their correct term, we get banned or silenced lol what a joke.🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

With a lot of consideration, and the need to provide better/more one on one time for my dogs. I will be offering up a couple of them.  and maybe also rehoming a retired female. The intact female can come with breeding rights(under contract) and possibly bred to one of my males when she comes into season. The intact male will be offered as a pet only, with possibly having a contract to bring him back for a few breedings to my females, before being neutered.

Lacey is looking and feeling good. She will be 13 years old in April. In May she was 96 pounds and now she’s 74 pounds. She has recently been put on Cosaquin and has started running and jumping up onto the furniture again. Before the weight loss and the supplement, I didn’t think she was going to make it through this coming winter. I was mentally preparing myself for where her spot in the garden will be,eventually. 😥
She wasn’t over fed before the weight loss.
She stold food other dogs hadn’t finished.

I have educated myself and learned of something that is super important to our dogs and puppies. It is called titer testing for viruses and diseases that are contagious.
I always recommend titer testing over blindly vaccinating a dog that does not need it. Titer testing is so much smarter and healthier for the dogs. I have heard “ I would rather vaccinate and keep my dog up-to-date” so many times I just can’t believe people are that unwilling to educate themselves.  I think my new contract will require a titer testing over vaccinating, for the health of the dog, and maybe a little education to the buyer.

WHEN I AM OLD
When I am old...
I will wear soft gray sweatshirts...
and a bandana over my silver hair...
and I will spend my social security checks on my dogs.

I will sit in my house on my well-worn chair
and listen to my dogs breathing.

I will sneak out in the middle of a warm summer night
and take my dogs for a run, if my old bones will allow...

When people come to call, I will smile and nod
as I show them my dogs...
and talk of them and about them.....the ones so beloved of the past
and the ones so beloved of today...

I will still work hard cleaning after them,
mopping and feeding them and whispering their names
in a soft loving way.

I will wear the gleaming sweat on my throat,
like a jewel, and I will be an embarrassment to all...
especially my family...
who have not yet found the peace in being free
to have dogs as your best friends...
These friends who always wait, at any hour, for your footfall...
and eagerly jump to their feet out of a sound sleep,
to greet you as if you are a God,
with warm eyes full of adoring love and hope
that you will always stay,

I'll hug their big strong necks...
I'll kiss their dear sweet heads...
and whisper in their very special company....
I look in the mirror... and see I am getting old....
this is the kind of person I am...
and have always been.

Loving dogs is easy, they are part of me.
Please accept me for who I am.

My dogs appreciate my presence in their lives...
they love my presence in their lives...
When I am old this will be important to me...
you will understand when you are old,
if you have dogs to love too.

Gypsy and I had a lot of fun with our new friends, Teresia and Achilles, at the IABCA dog show . Gypsy brought home 4 gold medals, 3 silvers and 6 ribbons(lost one). Achilles got 2 silvers in a big group of nice puppies.
