Happy new years from FE and FETRP! 🎊🥳

I’m not typically one for New Year’s resolutions… but with the start of our nonprofit it just seems fitting!

I would like to focus on rehabbing and rehoming 10 OTTBs during 2025! A big goal for a brand new nonprofit with minimal funding…

Speaking of which, we would be honored to receive your support! We have already been approached by several opportunities to take in rehab candidates from racetracks surrounding NJ, but we cannot without proper funding.

Is your New Years Resolution to ride more?! 🐴

Check out some of our horses available on January 1st for on-site lease! Very LOW lease rate for a perfect match.

🍫 RITMO CRIOLLO (aka “Rolo”). 2007 16.1h OTTB with the sweetest personality. Loves to jump! Schools 2’6 and has basic dressage training with the dreamiest canter. A gentleman to handle. FULL or HALF lease.

🍩 RUNNIN’ ON DUNKIN (aka “Dunkin”). 2017 16.3h OTTB, always a barn favorite! This handsome man is looking for a leaser who enjoys the slower paced life. Walk/Trot and a great trail riding companion with access to hundreds of trails. Would be a great natural horsemanship candidate! Still green but very amateur friendly. HALF lease

The beautiful farm has a BRAND NEW indoor arena, jump ring with lights, and small dressage ring. There is access to lots of trails with a great group of boarders! Great riding atmosphere with fun barn family.

In today’s fast-paced world, we often find ourselves rushing—rushing to meet deadlines, to achieve goals, to find success. We want results, and we want them now. But there’s a virtue we often overlook in our haste, one that has the power to transform our lives in ways that impatience never can… Patience.

Patience is not merely about waiting. It’s not about sitting idly by while life passes you by. Patience is the ability to endure, to remain calm and focused, even when the road ahead feels long and uncertain. Patience is a form of quiet strength, a powerful tool that, when wielded wisely, can help us navigate the challenges of life with grace and resilience.

Think about the seasons of nature. A seed doesn’t sprout overnight. It waits. It grows slowly, almost imperceptibly, until one day it bursts through the soil. The same can be said for our dreams. The growth we seek—whether it’s in our careers, relationships, or personal growth—takes time. There are no shortcuts to true transformation. You cannot rush the process of becoming who you are meant to be.

But in our world of instant gratification, patience can seem like a luxury, something that belongs to the past. We expect things to happen on our timeline, and when they don’t, frustration creeps in. Yet, the greatest achievements in history didn’t come from impatience. They came from perseverance, from trusting the process, from having faith that, even though we don’t see immediate results, progress is happening beneath the surface.

Patience teaches us to trust. To trust that even in times of uncertainty, we are on the right path. It helps us appreciate the journey, not just the destination. With patience, we learn that the setbacks and delays aren’t roadblocks—they’re part of the learning, part of the growth.

The good things in life—your achievements, your relationships, your happiness—are not rushed. They are nurtured with patience, persistence, and faith.

Your dreams are within reach.

They may seem distant, they may seem impossible, but I promise you, they are not. Every step you take, no matter how small, brings you closer to the person you’re destined to become and the life you are meant to create.

Dreams are not just fantasies; they are the seeds of who you can be. And just like any seed, they need time, care, and persistence to grow. The road to your dreams will not always be easy. You will face obstacles, doubt, and moments where you question whether it’s worth it. But I ask you this: if your dream was easy, would it be worth pursuing?

The most successful people didn’t get there by waiting for the perfect moment or the perfect circumstances. They got there by continuing to move forward when the road was unclear. They got there by failing and getting back up. They got there by believing, even when belief felt hard.

Your dream is worth the sacrifice. It's worth the late nights, the setbacks, and the hard work that you put in when no one is watching. And most importantly, it’s worth believing in yourself when the world tells you otherwise.

Runnin’ On Dunkin aka “Dunkin” (JC: Combating) 2017 16.3hh OTTB gelding

A barn favorite with THE BEST ground manners! Dunkin is a resident of our Fiordland Equestrian Thoroughbred Rehabilitation Program (FETRP) ready for a laid-back rider who is looking for a horse to love on.

Dunkin is a cool guy with an AMAZING brain. With more “woah” than “go”, he enjoys walking out on the trails, will stand all day for grooming and baths, and will be your best friend if you give him peppermints!

Dunkin is looking for a walking trail riding position and would excel with someone passionate about groundwork, natural horsemanship, and building a true bond. While being fairly green, he has shown to be a great horse with green riders! He is a pro on the lunge line!

FETRP is a non-profit organization focusing on rehabilitating newly retired racehorses to help them transition from their racing career into their new lifestyles.
